Hunter x Hunter is a staple show for any shounen lover’s diet.

It’s great because of its intricate power system, and wide range of interesting characters.

And although Gon is technically the face of the entire show, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Killua carried in the badass category. I mean, who doesn’t like a child assassin capable of ripping your heart out?

He’s incredibly powerful in the Hunter x Hunter world – but how does he stack up in the grander anime universe?

That’s what we’ll be discussing here: anime characters stronger than Killua.

Also note that I’ll avoid any obvious choices, like Goku or Saitama, because a close fight is far more interesting.

12. Garou

Garou One Punch Man anime screenshot

Anime: One Punch Man

I’m going to start off with Garou here, as this fight is the hardest to call on the list.

End of season two Garou is pretty intense, showing immense speed, strength, technique, and the tenacity of an armored mule.

His best feat comes in the form of deflecting hundreds of bullets with his hands shot from around 15 feet away.

And in terms of strength, his best feat there is probably breaking Tank Top Master’s arm, even though he’s a certified tank.

I do think Godspeed Killua could outpace him – however, if he doesn’t one-shot Garou, his chances get significantly lower.

This is because Garou can almost immediately pick up your technique and use it against you.

Plus, Garou only seems to get stronger the longer the fight lasts, as seen when he took on an entire group of heroes followed by Genos.

In conclusion, if Killua one-shots him, it’s easy.

If he doesn’t, Garou stands a reasonable chance of winning.

11. Sukuna

Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen anime

Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen

Here I am talking about the nerfed Sukuna that resides within Itadori’s body, as the real thing would make for too hard of a stomp.

The way I like to imagine this fight going is Killua doing his iconic move and ripping out Sukuna’s heart, only to be immediately punched into oblivion.

I say that because Sukuna tore his own heart out on one occasion, and he did not seem all that stressed about it.

His regenerative abilities are quite good – and he can definitely outscale Killua when it comes to strength.

Even in terms of speed, Sukuna is rather decent, being able to exit an underground facility and run behind Megumi before he was even detected.

We still haven’t seen the full extent of Sukuna’s power. But I think that he can get the W through the sheer difference of tenacity and strength.

10. Natsu Dragneel

Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail anime

Anime: Fairy Tail

This battle echoes a lot of the points from the previous ones, as Natsu just outclasses Killua when it comes to strength and tenacity.

The dude can eat city-level blasts and keep fighting as if nothing had happened – and can punch entire craters into the ground.

Plus he counters Killua when it comes to his Nen.

Killua relies on electricity to stun his opponent and get some burst off. However, Natsu can just eat the lightning – and instead of being slowed down, he becomes even more powerful.

On the other side of things, Killua has no real way of dealing with Natsu’s fire. And even his speed can’t consistently save him from massive AoE attacks.

9. Koro-Sensei

Koro-Sensei in Assassination Classroom

Anime: Assassination Classroom

I saw this battle discussed on YouTube, with lots of people claiming that Killua has the upper leg.

However, even if he was given an anti-Koro knife, I don’t think he could even touch Koro.

When running away from his staff, Killua’s Godspeed could barely outrun a fancy motorcycle.

Koro-Sensei on the other hand carried two people across the entire globe in just a few minutes.

Killua is capable of creating after images of himself to confuse opponents, but Koro-Sensei can create afterimages and even have them all doing a different activity.

Killua is a trained assassin, but Koro-Sensei used to be the king of assassins, and has many more years of experience.

No matter how you flip it, Killua does not stand a chance of touching him.

And since power is equal to mass + acceleration, Koro-Sensei can just body slam into Killua at full speed and get the job done.

8. All Might

Anime: My Hero Academia

I also saw some discussions online regarding the matchup of Bakugo vs Killua.

This is a huge downplay for our zappy boy, as I think you need to reach the very top of the My Hero Academia world in order to have a good fight.

Although I strongly believe that All Might is a lot faster than people give him credit for, I still don’t think he could ever catch Killua.

However, he doesn’t have to.

The dude can tank point-blank explosions to the face and can create tornadoes with his punches.

So even blindly guessing where Kilua is would prove effective sooner or later.

Plus, Killua’s Godspeed isn’t permanent, making the fight nothing more than a waiting game.

7. King

King in The Seven Deadly Sins

Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins

A lot of the characters I featured on this list are either faster than Killua, or can simply take the punishment and win in the long-run.

But King falls under neither category.

He can just kite Kilua to hell and back.

I’m talking about the awakened King, of course. His entire kit is long range, meaning that he could simply fly up and battle Killua at a distance.

Killua’s yoyos can’t damage Chastiefol, and King has so many huge AoE spells that Killua wouldn’t be able to dodge them all consistently.

If Killua could fly, or if he jumped King while he was still on the ground, I could see the possibility of him one-shotting King.

But those are his only win conditions – while King has a lot more options.

6. Uvogin

Uvogin from Hunter x Hunter (2011) anime

Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Now this one is quite the hot take, I know.

However I do have my reasons.

I think people downplay Uvogin a lot because of his fight with Kurapika. But it’s important to remember that Kurapika basically specialized himself for defeating Troupe, and also had a major buff because of his Crimson Eyes.

Although I would never go so far as to say that Uvogin is on the same level of Youpi, I do think that he could tank a lot of Killua’s attacks in the same way Youpi did.

The dude doesn’t even flinch at bazooka shots, after all, and has the reaction time to catch a bullet with his teeth.

Alsom just like All Might: he can create huge AoE blasts simply by punching the ground – thus making it harder for Killua to move around.

Would it be an easy fight? No.

But do I think Uvogin would clutch the victory in the end? Yes.

5. Shigeo Kageyama

Shigeo Kageyama in Mob Psycho 100

Anime: Mob Psycho 100

When you just look at Mob, you immediately think he has the durability of a soggy piece of bread.

However when he’s at full power, this dude can tank quite a lot.

Like getting thrown through several buildings without getting a scratch.

Plus when he’s at full power, his destructive ability is immense – throwing buildings around like they were his toys.

So if Killua faced a blood-thirsty Mob, I think he would end up 10 feet under.

His Godspeed would keep him safe at first. But there is no way it could last long enough for Mob to run out of juice.

On top of all that, Mob can just fly and stay out of range for the entire fight, making Killua’s chance to get some damage off that much lower.

4. Chuuya Kuujo

Chuuya Kuujo in Bungo Stray Dogs

Anime: Bungo Stray Dogs

Speaking of Mob… see what I did there?

Usually I would never assume a show like Bungo Stray Dogs scales to Hunter x Hunter.

One of the main antagonists is a lemon terrorist, after all.

However, Chuuya just completely disregards that point.

In terms of speed, Chuuya is actually rather busted, being able to react to bullets in the second that they touch his skin.

He doesn’t dodge them. Rather he makes them stop the very second they touch his body, which is pretty intense.

He can also use his gravity powers to make his punches hit like a truck, casually making craters and busting tanks.

And on top of all that, he can go into his Corrupted form and throw mini black holes around.

But his biggest advantage is the fact that he can severely nerf Killua as he can simply make him weight 100 lbs more the second he touches him.

3. Joutarou Kuujo

Joutarou Kuujo from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders

Anime: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders

Star Platinum is known for two things: his ora ora and his immense speed.

His punching strength has been shown to be powerful enough to break teeth comparable to diamonds, and his speed casually catches bullets and lights cigarettes with a flick.

But the big question is whether it could keep up with Godspeed Killua?

Here’s how I see it:

Killua wouldn’t go full speed immediately, instead trading blows with Joutarou at first, and trying to figure out how his Stand works.

Of course, given that he even sees Star Platinum with Zetsu – the second Killua enters Godspeed, Joutarou would probably just freeze time and take him out that way. He’s smart enough to know that he can’t keep up with those levels of speed.

2. Rock Lee

Rock Lee Naruto anime screenshot

Anime: Naruto

Speaking of speed, we have Lee.

Although I think Killua could take on beginning-of-the-series Sasuke, I think Lee is a different story.

Without his weights and with the fourth gate open, he can move at consistently immense speeds to the point where it just looks like he’s flying.

Plus, he trained with Neji, meaning that his hand-to-hand combat skills are top notch.

He can create little tornadoes with his more powerful kicks, and can get drunk if he wants to be completely unpredictable.

I do think this is too much for Killua to handle in the long-run.

The fight would probably start off on pretty equal footing. But I think Lee is capable of going all out for much longer than Killua, ultimately giving him the victory.

And even if you think that’s a stretch, we can always slightly tweak the script and state that Lee opened his fifth or sixth gate, as it shouldn’t be debatable at that point.

1. Luck Volta

Luck Volta in Black Clover anime

Anime: Black Clover

I left this choice for number one, as it’s thematically the most interesting, with both characters being incredibly fast lightning murder psychos.

However, Luck does outclass Killua is every department of his equation.

In his battle with Svenkin, we saw that he could deal with people who have automatic defenses, like Killua’s Godspeed. And that he can run so fast that he just runs through you.

In terms of lightning, he has much better control over the element, not being bound to only melee attacks. So he can even dish out some long-range poke.

And lastly, he’s somehow way more psychotic.

That isn’t really a battle stat – but I do think Killua would instinctively want to run away after he saw Luck smiling like a maniac at the sight of blood.
