12 Anime Characters That Could Beat Ichigo

Long ago in a distant past, boys would huddle around in the playground and discuss whose dad could beat up all the other dads.

But hey, we’ve got anime now. So the discussion just got a lot more interesting and a lot more diverse.

In this list we’ll be taking a look at Ichigo and seeing which anime characters ichi-go to the after-after life.

12. Rin Okumura

Anime: Blue Exorcist

This one would be quite interesting, as both characters are excellent swordsmen.

However, Rin has quite the advantage, being that he’s an exorcist and all.

That might sound weird. But we have to remember that Ichigo is basically a spirit boy, hence ripe for exorcisms.

I do think that Ichigo is faster – but they’re comparable when it comes to physical strength.

So as long as Rin manages to get a good hit in, the battle is his.

11. Ryou Asuke

Anime: Devilman: Crybaby

Since we’re on the topic of Satan, let’s talk about Ryou.

Spoiler alert: Ryou is Satan incarnate and can do some absolutely insane damage. Like world destroying damage.

And since Bleach hasn’t shown many destructive feats, it’s understandable to assume that Ichigo isn’t a world buster just yet.

That is, unless we start going into manga territory.

So, by the virtue of just having insane stats across the board, I’m giving this one to Ryou.

10. Bishamon

Anime: Noragami

This one does take a bit of mental gymnastics, but stay with me.

In Bleach, spiritual presence is the main scale when it comes to power.

So if we took a literal god and placed them in the Bleach universe, operating by Bleach rules, I think that Bishamon would far out-scale anyone in the verse.

Yato probably would have made more sense, since he is a swordman and a true fighter.

But since Bishamon is widely more influential, as well as technically possessing multiple Bankai, I’m betting my money on her instead.

9. Shigeo Kageyama

Anime: Mob Psycho 100

This is like a combo of the first two picks.

Not only is Mob an exorcist, but he also has some insane stats across the board.

Even if we low-ball Mob, he’s a city destroyer. And his enraged mode has been shown to be pretty much unbeatable.

And again since he is an exorcist, we can assume that he can just kind of yeet Ichigo out of existence.

Even without the exorcist argument, I think Mob would stand a good chance, as his kit is really difficult to deal with – but I feel safer with my pick if we assume Ichigo can be dealt with like a spirit.

8. Madara Uchiha

Anime: Naruto: Shippuden

In the Naruto anime, characters often state how they cannot even perceive their enemy, as they’re a dimension above them.

Although this is just a power-level flex, we can take that notion and run with it.

Madara can actually just pull up and release his Limbo clones who are copies of himself that are literally in a different dimension and cannot be perceived.

The power of taking things literally is quite the asset in this fight.

Plus Madara just out-scales Ichigo when it comes to base stats.

The dude casually drops meteors, so I think he has this one in the bag.

7. Alucard

Anime: Hellsing Ultimate

I’m going to be honest, my main reason for including this one is just the level of awesomeness it would provide.

Both of these characters are just insanely cool, and their fight would be nothing short of legendary.

However, the fight would only really go this way because Alucard likes to toy with his victims.

That might seem like highballing it – but the dude just never loses.

The only things that can damage him are holy relics. And even they haven’t done anything so far.

So I’m pretty sure he would just devour Ichigo like a spikey Twinkie.

6. Charlotte Linlin

Anime: One Piece

This one takes a bit of head-canon and luck, but I do think it’s possible to pull off.

Charlotte’s power allows her to basically manifest and control someone’s soul, which is kind of important in a fight.

However, the enemy does have to feel fear in order for it to work.

Ichigo is far from a scaredy cat. But I do think Charlotte could pull it off with the right setup.

The setup heavily relies on how quickly she can strip before Ichigo manages to get a hit in.

Because if that sight doesn’t scare him, then none of the characters on this list stand a chance against Ichigo.

5. Anos Voldigoad

Anime: The Misfit of Demon King Academy

This is another stats-diff type of battle, but the gap is so large it’s honestly hilarious.

Anos fought the greatest swordsman in his universe with a branch, and still managed to overpower him severely.

Not only that, but the dude also managed to inflict damage on his opponent through the sheer power that came from the sound of his heartbeat.

In other words, this is basically picking Goku without being a hypocrite in the opening segment. It’s also a lot funnier.

4. Shichika Yasuri

Anime: Katanagatari

If you’re caught up with the manga here, you know what an effect breaking Ichigo’s sword has on his power.

Let’s just say that is it drastic.

That is where Shichika comes it.

The dude’s entire purpose in life is to basically be a blade and break any other blade that might face him. He has dozens of techniques all specialized to leave your sword in shatters.

Therefore, if we severely overlook the big gap in physical strength, speed, and destructive power, Ichigo gets floored.
