Itachi Uchiha has been one of the most beloved and badass characters in the Naruto franchise for quite some time.

He’s especially popular when it comes to theory crafting since his power seems very hard to measure.

Some say he loses to Jiraiya, while others say he beats Madara, so there are a lot of opinions out there.

So why not start a debate right here as we rank some top characters from anime that could likely beat Itachi Uchiha.

10. Yami Sukehiro

Yami Sukehiro from Black Clover Anime

Anime: Black Clover

If Itachi were to face Yami and both fighters were completely serious from the start and wanted to go in for the kill, I think Yami would win.

It wouldn’t be an easy win. But I do think it’s possible.

First off, after the time-skip, Yami became extremely efficient when it comes to sensing the changes in mana around him.

For this reason, I think he could potentially anticipate Itachi’s genjutsu or even his Amaterasu.

Especially when we consider that he’s extremely fast, and can even maneuver mid-air with no difficulty.

On top of that, his tenacity is way beyond Itachi’s, as Yami seemingly gets stronger the longer the fight lasts.

And if he manages to evade Itachi’s initial attack, his dimension slash should theoretically be able to cut through Itachi’s Susanoo.

It wouldn’t be the cleanest fight – but I do think Yami could clench the W.

9. Shigeo Kageyama

Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100

Anime: Mob Psycho 100

Again, in order for this to work, Mob has to be at 100% and completely blood-lusted.

My main reasoning for this one is that genjutsu wouldn’t work on a god-tier psychic, or at least not to any notable degree.

We know that Mob can suppress giant amounts of energy. So I think he could contain the Amaterasu as well.

But the real kicker is that Mob is surprisingly durable and destructive.

The dude can take quite the beating. And his destructive force is easily city-level destructive.

So even if he got caught by a lesser genjutsu, he could just start destroying everything around him and eventually tag Itachi.

We know that he can throw buildings around, so I don’t think it would take too long for Itachi’s defenses to cave in and break, especially if we’re talking about a sick Itachi.

8. Nagato Uzumaki

Nagato Uzumaki from Naruto: Shippuden

Anime: Naruto: Shippuden

This matchup is heavily debated in the fandom, and it’s time I threw my hat into the ring.

Sick Itachi just gets overwhelmed by the Paths of Pain, and prime Itachi barely loses to prime Nagato.

People like to point to their Edo Tensei fight and say that Itachi is stronger. But there are a few things to keep in mind.

Firstly, Itachi had backup.

Secondly, Nagato was being controlled remotely and wasn’t using nearly his full potential.

And most importantly, Nagato was literally talking them through how to beat his possessed body.

Sure, this hypothetical fight wouldn’t be all that one-sided. But Nagato just has an extremely oppressive kit. He can blow away Amaterasu, absorb fireballs, and likely resist genjutsu with his Rinnegan.

7. Sinbad

Sinbad from Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Anime: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

For this fight to leave Sinbad victorious, it’d need to heavily rely on which Djinn equip Sinbad starts off with.

Best case scenario, he starts with Zepar and puts the master of genjutsu under his spell.

That might sound like a longshot, but remember that Jiraiya managed to catch a Path of Pain in a genjutsu, so it isn’t that far off.

Especially since in both cases the spell is cast through sound.

Sinbad has even stated that he can influence everyone in the vicinity, and that he can do it subtly in order to control people. In terms of destructive power, he’s just leagues ahead, casually blowing up entire mountain ranges while not even in his prime.

And he has even shown an ability to absorb spells like Amaterasu, although not instantly.

6. Natsu Dragneel

Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail Anime

Anime: Fairy Tail

This one just has such a huge tenacity gap that it isn’t even funny.

Natsu is the type of dude that can tank a nuclear bomb and still live long enough to tell ten motivational speeches about friendship.

Plus, he royally screws over Itachi.

Itachi’s main offensive abilities are his fireball and Amaterasu, both of which Natsu could probably just eat in order to power himself up.

In fact, I’m pretty sure that the Amaterasu flames wouldn’t even go out once he ate them, but instead of just burning out his insides, they would just be an eternal battery.

You could also make the argument of Itachi’s Totsuka blade one-shotting Natsu. But I honestly find it very difficult to believe that Itachi could ever tag Natsu with it, as it isn’t particularly fast.

5. Demiurge

Demiurge from Overlord Anime (Screenshot)

Anime: Overlord

This guy just feels like a supreme Uchiha.

He can completely control people just by talking to them, although they have to be a lot weaker than him. And he has a plethora of fire spells – and it’s even stated that he can pull a Madara and drop a meteor onto his opponents.

But the real reason he would come out on top when fighting Itachi is because of his summoning ability.

Demiurge can spam demons like there was no tomorrow and just completely overwhelm Itachi – or at the very least drain his limited chakra.

And an exhausted Itachi wouldn’t do much against Demiurge.

He isn’t the best fighter. But considering he has some decent speed, strength buffs, and an immunity to all kinds of fire, Itachi would stand no chance.

4. Satoru Gojou

Satoru Gojou from Jujutsu Kaisen

Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen

Both Gojou and Itachi have some beautiful and overpowered eyes. But if it came down to the wire, I think Gojou’s skills are just a bit more powerful.

His Limitless ability would secure that no damage ever manages to find its way to him. And if we’re counting his as dojutsu, I’m pretty sure they would just outrank the Sharingan and therefore be immune to its effects.

In terms of speed and strength, these two are on a similar scale. And the same could be said about their destructive power.

However, Gojou’s domain expansion seems a bit more hax than Tsukuyomi.

And considering we’ve never even seen Gojou give his all in a fight or actually get hit, I think he would come out on top overall.

3. Kusuo Saiki

Kusuo Saiki from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

Anime: The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

As a gag character, Saiki just has way too many abilities for Itachi to keep up.

If he takes off his limiters, he would just instantly read Itachi’s mind, regardless of the distance, and would know what to watch out for.

If he takes of his glasses, Itachi would have to get really creative with his plan of attack, as Saiki would turn him to stone with a single look.

If Itachi lands Amaterasu, Saiki can just revert his body 24 hours and get rid of it.

If Itachi brings out the Totsuka blade, Saiki can just teleport away and then come back once Itachi is drained. Or just yeet him into space with telekinesis.

If he was really desperate, he could even travel back in time and just kill him as a baby… but that is quite the boring scenario.

Saiki’s speed is immense, and he can lift up entire jets even while severely suppressed, so I’m rather confident that a blood-lusted Saiki with no limiter can just one shot itachi.

2. Ban

Ban from The Seven Deadly Sins

Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins

Once again we come to a huge gap in tenacity – Itachi’s main issue.

After spending a thousand years in literal Hell, there are very few things that would actually damage Ban at this point. Plus, having honed his Snatch ability, he could steal what little chakra Itachi does have over the course of their fight.

Even without his immortality, I honestly think Ban could just wait for the Amaterasu to reach its three day limit. And when it comes to the Totsuka blade, I don’t think Itachi is fast enough to tag him.

The best part of this fight is that even if Itachi just caught Ban in Tsukuyomi, Ban could just chill and wait for it to end.

Even Tsukuyomi cannot compare to a thousand years of constant pain and agony.

1. Milim Nava

Milim Nava from TTIGRAAS Anime

Anime: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

This fight would be the most one-sided, the most boring, but also the most hilarious.

Itachi would cast his genjutsu, Milim would seemingly fall under the influence and do whatever Itachi wanted, but then she would just get bored and one shot him.

We already know that Milim is seemingly impossible to control or affect with spells or items. And her destructive power if so immense that she can casually destroy entire cities.

I wanted to avoid extremely one-sided fights here. But this one is honestly too hilarious to leave out.

Could you imagine the Uchiha prodigy with all of his intellect, skill, and sharp wit being absolutely obliterated by a half-naked airhead who looks like she’s twelve years old?
