The waifu wars have claimed many lives over the years. But another battle that generally slides under the radar is in the realm of the husbando nation.

And we’ve already looked into MHA’s most notable waifus.

So we’re charging straight ahead and making our presence known in the realm of MHA husbandos. And this is my list of the top husbandos in all of My Hero Academia.

15. Enji Todoroki

Enji Todoroki in My Hero Academia anime

I’m going to put Endeavor in last place because he still has a long way to go.

Initially, the dude was just abusive and made his family’s life a living hell (both in terms of temperature and atmosphere).

However, he did turn over a new leaf and has been trying to become a decent human being. And I’m personally a sucker for good redemption stories.

Plus, in the anime, he’s currently the strongest hero around – and who doesn’t want the top dog as their husbando?

And his fight with Nomu was straight fire (pun intended) so he gets lots of brownie points for that one.

14. Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia anime

I might get shot for not putting Deku higher (with him being the protagonist and all that) but hear me out.

There’s no denying that the dude has a heart of gold. He’s also a hard worker that never takes anything he has for granted. So, he has most of his husbando qualifications down to a science.

However, the dude is just a bit boring for me.

All he cares about is All Might, and I’ll be darned if he ever expressed any other interest in his life.

And since he’s also the golden boy, I feel like he gets really predictable really quickly. Still, a decent pick though just not upper-echelon material.

13. Denki Kaminari

Denki Kaminari in My Hero Academia anime

Denki is the polar opposite of Deku. The dude might have his faults, and his definitely not the most vigilant hero around – but he’s really fun.

He likes to take things lightly and has a gift for easing the atmosphere in almost all situations.

Plus, people really downplay how clever this dude is. On more than one occasion he’s made rather astute observations that no one else brought up.

And his hero costume has that 90s drip that we’ve all been craving for so long.

His character isn’t fledged out enough to go any higher in the list, but he’s a very solid pick for sure.

12. Danjuro Tobita

Danjuro Tobita in My Hero Academia anime

I might get a few weird looks for this one but I’m going to stand my ground!

The silver fox treatment might not be for everyone but Gentle Criminal truly delivers on that front. His outfit is nothing short of immaculate.

His love for tea makes me feel like I’m part of the UK.

And he honestly treats his sidekick better than any hero I’ve seen thus far. So he gets that heart of gold tag on top of everything.

Plus, if there’s one thing the 21st century has taught me – it’s that having a YouTuber husbando can be quite profitable.

11. Kai Chisaki

Kai Chisaki in My Hero Academia anime

It might’ve been ten years since Britney said it – but being in love with a criminal is still quite the common occurrence.

And Overhaul has that gang leader vibe that’s impossible to feel neutral about when done correctly.

Sure, he’s a bit too lenient when it comes to morals (especially regarding children) but hit fit also goes really hard – so it balances out.

Not to mention that the dude has his future plans all figured out and is actively pursuing his goals each and every day. Productivity is hot even when it’s illegal.

10. Eijiro Kirishima

Eijiro Kirishima in My Hero Academia anime

Usually when a dude only talks about “manliness” he gets banned on every social media in the world. But when Kirishima does it, it’s just wholesome.

He just wants to be that hero that everyone can rely on, literally being a human shield and soaking up any threat that comes your way.

Not to mention that he’s a great guy in private!

He was the only one that managed to be Bakugo’s friend and I think that speaks volumes about how open and accepting he is. Plus he seems really fun to be around.

9. Jin Bubaigawara

Jin Bubaigawara in My Hero Academia anime

Saying that Twice isn’t on your husbando tier-list is akin to saying you’re not in love with Ryan Reynolds – which is nothing short of blasphemy!

The guy is just a lot of fun.

He has that zany energy that can make any situation seem less dire and he has it in spades!

Plus, we’ve seen that he’s also quite the caring individual – cherishing Himiko’s life more than his own and going all out in order to protect her.

He might be a villain on paper, but he definitely doesn’t act like it when his loved ones are involved.

8. Tsunagu Hakamada

Tsunagu Hakamada in My Hero Academia anime

With Best Jeanist there are two main things to consider that make him husbando material.

Number one is his fashion sense. Because let’s be honest, no one else in the world could make his outfit work but him. Plus, he can make you shine just as bright.

Secondly, you have to admire his persistence.

The fact that he actually managed to get through to Bakugo is nothing short of a miracle. And he never seemed annoyed or bothered.

He just saw his potential and gave it his all to make Bakugo a proper hero. In fact, I’d say he did as much if not more than All Might.

7. Shoto Todoroki

Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia anime

In the wise words of the sage Katy Perry, Shoto is both hot and he’s cold (quite literally).

Initially, he had that bad-boy vibe that would definitely make him blow up on TikTok. He only cared about being the best and showing his father how far he can soar.

And daddy issues will always be relatable.

But later on, he softens up quite a bit. And I have to say, his husbando status is only made better after the fact. He still has those cold, cool moments (mostly in battle) but you can also see how much he cares for his loved ones.

6. Tamaki Amajiki

Tamaki Amajiki in My Hero Academia anime

Making a badass dandere character is no small feat.

After all, how do you combine stuttering and badass one-liners?

However, Tamaki definitely pulls it off!

Most of the time he likes to keep to himself and will bury his head in the sand if there are too many people around. But when it comes down to hero business, he’s more than capable of standing his ground.

And with a badass name like the Suneater, you already know that his kicking some serious butt.

5. Shota Aizawa

Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia anime

It’s honestly difficult to describe exactly what makes Aizawa a top-tier husbando. He has that Dr. House energy where everything he does just feels like quite the mood.

After all, the dude is literally zipped up, ready to sleep at almost every moment.

But (just like all of the characters on this list) he’s also far from useless. Whenever there’s trouble, you already know that Aizawa is going to be there kicking some butt.

And he also gets some alpha points for beating villains down the old-fashioned way – no super strength or fireballs in sight!

4. Mirio Togata

Mirio Togata in My Hero Academia anime

Mirio is just a ray of sunshine.

The dude is always so positive that it’s honestly impossible not to crack a smile whenever he’s on screen. Especially since he’s also usually naked.

And his determination is just awe-worthy. Not only will he give up everything he holds dear in order to save you, but he’ll do it with a smile on his face.

Between that and his juvenile humor (with his butt pocking out of random places being the usual MO) how can you not instantly fall in love with the guy?

3. Katsuki Bakugo

Katsuki Bakugo in My Hero Academia anime

Bakugo is probably one of the most polarizing characters in anime.

You either want to drop the entire show out of raw hatred, or you’re ready to throw down in a Walmart parking lot to defend his honor.

And I have to say I’m more aligned with the latter in this situation.

Sure, initially he just seemed unhinged. But you can’t tell me that you didn’t get drop-kicked in the heart after he confessed his weakness to All Might.

You just can’t!

And seeing how he’s currently helping Deku become as strong as possible (in his own aggressive way), you can definitely see how much he grew since those early episodes.

Overall: you pick the time, I’ll pick the Walmart.

2. Dabi

Dabi in My Hero Academia anime

Even I can’t make this one sound deep. The dude’s just a TikTok eboy.

But he’s perfected the aesthetic to such a high degree that I can’t even be mad. He looks edgy as all hell, his drip is flawless, and his voice actor makes me question some things.

And sometimes that’s enough to land in second place as far as I’m concerned.

1. Keigo Takami

Keigo Takami in My Hero Academia anime

For my number one pick, I just had to go with Hawks.

Maybe it’s because he was the latest notable addition to the cast, but he just stuck out in my mind immediately.

First off, he is dripped out beyond belief. Like seriously, the design team put in a little extra when creating this character.

Secondly, the double agent angle has been (and will continue to be) one of the most fun plot points for decades. Especially when said agent has the charisma stat completely maxed out.

Not to mention the mystery that surrounds him at every turn.

No matter how I look at it, he’s ticking all of the boxes in my head (and my heart). And I have to crown Hawks the number one husbando of the entire show.
