The best way to farm cloth in Fallout 4 is to collect and scrap all the pre-war money from the Commonwealth Bank, Lexington’s bank, and a safe in Slocum’s Joe Corporate HQ, for a total of around 300 cloth.

Since cloth is a fairly common material, it is easy to meet your needs if you are a hoarder.

If you travel to Faneuil Hall and head south, you will immediately face the backside of the bank.

Turn left and you will see a wall with the word “Bank” on it. Enter the door, and go up the elevator.

To open the bank’s safe, you will need to hack an Expert level terminal, which requires level 2 of the Hacking Perk.

Inside the safe you will find a few stashes of pre-war money. You can scrap them for a total yield of 93 cloth.

Location #2: Lexington’s Bank

Across the street from Super Duper Mart you will find a building with the word “Bank” on top of a broken door.

Enter the building and collect the pre-war money from inside the cashiers. Then use the terminal to open the door to your right.

Go through the broken wall, and you will find a stash of 100 pre-war money next to some loose bundles of notes and some bodies.

Location #3: Slocum’s Joe Corporate HQ

After entering the destroyed building from the main front door, follow the opening to your right and keep going straight until you find a set of stairs.

Go up to the first floor, head to your right, and enter Slocum’s Joe Offices.

Inside the offices, on the south corner of the room, you will find a safe. You need level one of the Locksmith Perk to unlock Advanced locks, such as the one on the safe.

Inside the safe you will find a stash of 100 pre-war money.
