There are many vendors that sell this leafy snack throughout Eorzea (we’ll provide a full list below).
But you can also easily purchase gysahl greens very early on, since every starting city has an NPC that sells these greens.
More specifically, here’s the best early game locations where can buy these greens:
- Bango Zango in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:9.9, Y:11.4)
- Roarich in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:10.5, Y:9.5)
- Maisenta in New Gridania (X:11.5, Y:11.2)
One serving of gysahl greens costs 36 gil.

Uses for Gysahl Greens
For Your Chocobo Companion
Like mentioned earlier, gysahl greens are used to summon your chocobo companion to your side.
If they join you on your adventures, they will participate in battle and gain experience points to become stronger.
One serving of gyhsal greens will keep your chocobo by your side for 30 minutes. This can be increased to 60 minutes by offering multiple servings.
Having your chocobo accompany you is great for non-instanced battles and FATE farming.
For Crafting
If you’re into chocobo racing at the Gold Saucer, you know that feeding your chocobo different types of feeds can improve their performance.
There are many different types of feed for your chocobo’s speed, acceleration, endurance, stamina, and balance. These items are all crafted by culinarians, and all of them feature gysahl greens as a primary ingredient.
