How Do You Get The Golden Dhyata Minion? (FFXIV)

The Golden Dhyata Minion is obtained as a reward from the Level 90 Quest “The Meeting of Minds”. This comes along with the Achievement “Overeducated” and the Title “Honorary Academic”.

The Quest itself is actually the final in the Studium Quest series.

These are the Disciple of Hand and Land Quests added in Endwalker. They replaced Class Quests from previous Expansions.

If you’re familiar with the Crystarium Quests from Shadowbringers, then you’ll feel right at home.

Once you’ve completed every separate Studium Quest, “The Meeting of Minds” becomes available.

It functions as sort of a wrap-up to the Story in Old Sharlayan.

However, this does mean you’ll need every Gatherer at Level 90, in addition to some Crafting Classes – five classes in all.

But luckily the Quests themselves give tons of EXP.

And that’s not to mention the experience you’ll get from all the gathering and crafting required!

Once you’ve completed everything, the Minion will be yours.

Being Studious at the Studium

Because all the Studium Quests require Collectibles (both Crafting and Gathering), you’ll first need to have them unlocked.

There are two Quests in all.

Morgayne (Foundation – The Arc of the Humble, X:10 Y:10) will give you the Quest “Inscrutable Tastes”. This unlocks Collectables and the first iteration of the Scrip Exchange, at Level 56.

Lydirlona (Mor Dhona – Revenant’s Toll, X:22 Y:7) gives you the Quest “Go West, Craftsman”. This unlocks the next set of Collectibles at Level 60 in Idyllshire.

These quests will also unlock Custom Deliveries, which are Weekly Collectible Turn-ins.

They’re an excellent way to passively level up your Crafters and Gatherers. Especially since you’ll need to be level 90 to get your mechanical bird.

Once those are out of the way, you can proceed to Old Sharlayan.

To begin The Studium Deliveries, you’ll first need to meet with Qih Allapoh (Old Sharlayan – The Studium, X:4 Y:9).

She’ll give you the Quest “The Faculty”.

It requires two Quests to unlock:

• The Level 82 Main Scenario’s “Sound the Bell, Schools’s In”, and
• “Inscrutable Tastes”, mentioned above

So you can begin the deliveries!

Each of these Quests require you to either craft or gather a Collectible.

In some cases, the Materials for the craft are provided.

Rurusha (Old Sharlayan – The Studium, X:6 Y:8)

Requires a Level 80 Blacksmith, Armorer or Goldsmith. Any of these Professions can advance and complete the Quests.

Professor Rurusha’s New Friend, Level 80.

The Dormant Dhyata, Level 80. Requires:

• 6 x Sets of Gold Plating
  • 1 x Dwarven Mythril Ingot, 1 x Dwarven Mythril Nugget, 2 x Deepgold Nugget each.

Gears of Gold, Level 83. Requires:

• 6 x Gold Cogs
  • 1 High Durium Ingot, 1 x Pewter Ingot, 2 x Stonegold Ingot each

Rubbished Research, Level 85. Requires:

• 6 x Gold Motor Components
  • 2 x Bismuth Ingots, 1 x Phrygian Gold Ingot each.

Boric’s Choice, Level 85. Requires:

• 1 x Golden Core (High Quality) – Materials provided by Boric.

A Friend in Need, Level 88. Requires:

• 6 x Gold Mechanical Voice Boxes
  • 1 x Chondrite Ingot, 1 x Star Quartz, 2 x Phrygian Gold Ingot each.

Wayback Machine, Level 90. Requires:

• 1 x Gold Connector (High Quality) – Materials provided by Rurusha.

An Astronomical Growth, Level 88. Requires:

• 6 x Aetherial Conductor
  • 1 x Integral Lumber, 1 x AR-Caean Velvet, 1 x Ophiotauros Leather each.

The Promised Star, Level 90. Requires:

• 1 x Starlens Wand (High Quality) – Materials provided by Jude.

Requires a Level 80 Alchemist or Culinarian.

Aroma is Key, Level 85. Requires:

• 6 x Panaloaf Oil
  • 4 x Perilla Oil, 4 Grade 5 Mind Alkahest each.

Long Live the Gourmet, Level 85. Requires:

• 1 x Golden Spice (High Quality) – Materials are provided by Debroye.

Perfectly Delectable, Level 88. Requires:

• 6 x Ascorbic Additive
  • 4 x Coconut Milk, 1 x Berkanan Sap, 1 x Elder Nutmeg Seeds each.

Sharlayan Cuisine, Level 90. Requires:

History Lesson, Level 85. Requires:

• 6 x Garlean Clam – Garlemald (The Eblan Thaw, X:11 Y:31) using Versatile Lure or Leech.

The Wandering Whale, Level 85. Requires:

• 1 x Alnairon Salmon – Thavnair (X:28 Y:18) using Versatile Lure.

Fish Time Forgot, Level 88. Requires:

• 6 x Smaragdos – Elpis (Lethe, X:31 Y:16) using Sky Spoon Lure or Gold Salmon Roe.

Pastures New, Level 90. Requires:

• 1 x Lunar Lamenter – Mare Lamentorum (Frozen Fissure, X:22 Y:32) using Grey Worm.

Once you’ve endeared yourself to all the Faculty in The Studium, you can accept Meeting of the Minds.
