How Do You Get The Odder Otter Minion? (FFXIV)

The Odder Otter Minion is obtained primarily as a reward from Retainer Ventures. Any Gathering Job is capable of bringing it back, so no worries on having to swap your Retainers around.

The Odder Otter Minion is also available as a reward from the following:

• Silver-haloed Sack
• Gold-haloed Sack
• Material Container 4.0

The Silver and Gold-haloed Sacks are rewards from finding the Accursed Hoards in Heaven-on-High. They contain a ton of different items, but the Minion is in there.

Material Container 4.0 is available from your Grand Company for 20,000 Seals. It can potentially contain any Minion from the Stormblood Expansion, including the Odder Otter and Abroader Otter.

These methods are a bit indirect, though, so it’s much easier to just send your Retainers out.

All of the Ventures that potentially reward the Odder Otter are 18 hours. Meaning you just get to sit back and relax while your Retainers go out and find your Minion.

They all do have minimum Level requirements, starting around 60. That shouldn’t be too difficult unless you’ve really neglected them.
