How Do You Get The Paissa Brat Minion? (FFXIV)

Paissa Brat Minion in FFXIV

The Paissa Brat Minion can be obtained a number of different ways, but the best method is through Timeworn Dragonskin Maps. These were first added in Patch 3.1 of the Heavensward Expansion, and Dragonskin Maps are part of the Treasure Hunt minigame.

Alternatively, you could buy the Paissa Brat Minion for 800 Skybuilders’ Scrips. We’ll cover both methods in this guide.

Timeworn Dragonskin Maps are Level 60, and are recommended for up to eight Players. But good news: that’s that’s no longer that case, as any adequately-leveled Adventurer can make short work of any monsters that appear.

Then all you’ll need to do is pop open the unearthed coffer and hope it contains your Paissa Brat Minion.

Getting Timeworn Dragonskin Maps

To obtain this special type of Map, you’ll need a Gathering Class around Level 60.

You can find these Maps once a day at any of the following nodes:

Mining

  • The Dravanian Hinterlands – The Makers’ Quarter, X:25 Y:25
  • The Sea of Clouds – Voor Sian Siran, X:35 Y:31
  • The Sea of Clouds – Landlord Colony, X:27 Y:19

Botany

  • The Dravanian Hinterlands – The Answering Quarter, X:13 Y:19
  • The Sea of Clouds – The Blue Window, X:23 Y:12
  • Coerthas Western Highlands – Twinpools, X:11 Y:16

  • Coerthas Western Highlands – Clearpool, X:32 Y:37
  • The Dravanian Hinterlands – Middle Thaliak River, X:20 Y:25

Once you’ve gathered your Map, you’ll just need to decipher it and find its location. It can be any Heavensward Zone, so having flying unlocked in those areas helps immensely.

Once you’ve trounced your foes, just hope that you dig up your precious Paissa Brat Minion.

Alternate Methods For Your Minion

The second method is a bit more direct, but it’ll require a bit of crafting on your end.

Enie is the resident Skybuilders’ Scrip Exchange Vendor in The Firmament of Ishgard.

If that’s no problem, then seek out Enie (The Firmament – The New Nest, X:12 Y:14).

Here, under the first exchange option, you can purchase the Paissa Brat Minion directly for 800 Skybuilders’ Scrips.

Skybuilders’ Scrips are awarded for turning in Collectibles to Potkin over to Enie’s right. Each turn-in will reward you with anywhere from 3 to 80 Scrips. This amount varies based on both the Level and difficulty of the recipe.

Expert Crafts are the most efficient way to get them, but the crafting itself can be burdensome. You’re better off doing the lower recipes with the easier to afford materials.

That is, unless you want to pop into the Diadem and gather them yourself! Entirely up to you.

While you’re in The Firmament, also keep an eye out for Fetes.

These Events occur once every few days inside The Firmament, and are functionally a variety of minigames. When completed with a Gold Ranking, each one will reward you with 100 Skybuilders’ Scrips! Meaning you can skip all that crafting if you’re willing to make some time for them.

They’ll also reward you with Fete Presents, which can contain a whole host of items – even mounts.

While these are the most direct methods of obtaining the Paissa Brat Minion, you do have two other options:

  • Material Container 3.0
  • Bronze-trimmed Sacks

The Material Container is available for purchase from your Grand Company’s Quartermaster for 20,000 Seals. It can contain just about every Minion from Heavensward, including the Paissa Brat.

Bronze-trimmed Sacks from The Palace of the Dead’s Accursed Hoard also have a shot to give you the Minion.

Both of these are quite random, so I’d advise the more direct approach. Whichever you choose, hopefully the Paissa Brat finds a good home with you.

Best of luck in your hunt!
