Orange Juice Uses
As mentioned earlier, orange juice is a consumable item. This means you can use it to gain the “Well Fed” buff for 30 minutes.
But orange juice has other uses too, such as turning them in for certain quests and using them as crafting ingredients.
Consuming Orange Juice
While the “Well Fed” buff is a general term to indicate that you have benefitted from consuming a meal item, the stat buffs you get will differ depending on the item used. Orange juice will give you a minimal buff of +1 to Piety, Vitality, and Direct Hit Rate, but you do still get the normal 3% experience points bonus.
Due to the very small stat buff, orange juice is an ideal cheap alternative for getting the experience points bonus when leveling an alternate job.
Quests
There are a few different quests that require some orange juice to complete.
The most notable of these is probably the quest “Color Your World” from Swyrgeim in Western Thanalan (X:12.6, Y:14.3).
Completing this quest will allow you to dye certain pieces of gear. When you speak to Swyrgeim, she will ask you to buy her a bottle of orange juice.
You can buy orange juice from the Merchant and Mender standing right behind Swyrgeim. This is the same NPC in Western Thanalan that is listed above.
Orange juice can also be requested by your Grand Company’s Personnel Officer as a Level 6 Culinarian Supply Mission. Supply and Provisioning quests are a great way to level up your crafter and gatherer classes.
Crafting
There are two crafting recipes that require the use of orange juice.
One is the “Chilled Red” item, while the other is the “Riviera Lunch”.
Both of these are tabletop furnishings that are crafted by culinarians. These items can be used up to 10 times after being placed inside player housing to gain the “Well Fed” buff.
Chilled Red is a level 30 culinarian recipe and will buff your Piety and Vitality by 4%.
Riviera Lunch is a level 56 culinarian recipe and buffs your Tenacity and Vitality by 4%.
