Is Welkin Moon Worth It? (Genshin Impact)

Welkin Moon is a paywalled log-in feature – and yes, it’s worth it. For 30 days, you’ll receive 90 Primogems each day upon logging in. This is already more than the daily 60 Primogems you get from commissions.

And you also get 300 Genesis Crystals when you purchase it.

This is a great bonus. Saving them lets you purchase character skins without buying any Genesis Crystal top-ups.

In total, one Welkin Moon amounts to 3,000 worth of Primogems – which is much more efficient than Genesis Crystal packs. For those on a budget, this is the cheapest and most effective way of getting Primogems.

But it does have a condition: make sure you log in every day.

Failing to log in for a day will still consume a day’s worth of Welkin, but you won’t get any Primogems. So if you don’t play Genshin often, Welkin Moon is less recommended.

Gacha Spending

As a word of warning, buying a Welkin Moon can easily become a gateway purchase.

After a month of religiously logging in for your Welkin, you can feel obligated to continue spending on the game – which is not the case.

Genshin Impact is a free game. There’s absolutely no need to spend money, especially if you can’t afford it.

Properly budgeting your Primogems, participating in events, and doing quests is often enough to get you the characters you want – Welkin Moon just makes this process slightly faster by 20+ pulls.
