You remember how in Disney movies the bad guy is almost always some monster or wrinkly old hag?

Well man, has anime flipped that perspective on its head.

These days it seems that villains are just the hottest people around, regardless of the blood on their hands and the screws loose in their head. And for this piece I’ll count down some of the hottest villains that anime has to offer!

25. Elsa Granhiert

Anime: Re: Zero

It’s usually not the female that’s all up in your guts in a relationship. But hey, I’m willing to give it a go if Elsa is involved.

Innuendos aside, Elsa just has that terrifying elegance that is hard to ignore.

She’s always calm, collected, and showing just enough cleavage for you not to notice the sharp blade that just entered your stomach.

And if you ignore her obsession with cutting you up, she even gives off an illusion of a completely normal high-class lady who enjoys a good glass of wine.

24. Altair

Anime: Re: Creators

Since we’re already in the Re, female killer category, I might as well mention Altair.

Although she doesn’t show much figure-wise, it doesn’t really matter. I mean, just wearing a uniform is already quite high on the hotness scale.

Plus, I know that the twin piggy-tail army is quite strong. So Altair definitely has a good following.

Even in our universe I feel like she’s a bomb, I mean if I were to guess where so many pictures and stories about her came from, I would probably assume it has something to do with a certain rule of the Internet.

23. Shougo Makishima

If we’re talking about handsome broken men who you swear you can fix, even though Jesus himself couldn’t save the poor bastards, Makishima is quite the strong candidate.

He just oozes so much alpha male energy that he doesn’t even need any tattoos or piercings for you to know that he’s a badass.

Whenever he looks at you it feels like a mind game that he’s always winning. And for whatever reason, the human brain looks at that and immediately pulls a Will Smith and says “now that is hot”.

22. Judar

Anime: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Judar just has so much swagger and raw edgelord energy that I can’t help but put him on this list. If someone told me that Satan was a hot guy with some bling, I would probably just imagine Judar without a second thought.

He also gets bonus points for rocking that Eastern style look, as it’s something that we don’t see too often in anime, making him stand out both in our memory and our loins.

21. Muzan Kibutsuji

Anime: Demon Slayer

Whenever Muzan is mentioned, everyone is quick to call him an anime Michael Jackson. And honestly I don’t know whether I have to say anything aside from that.

There’s just something about his eyes being so terrifying, and yet his face having such soft features, that automatically makes him look good.

Not to mention that my man has his style game down to a tee.

Like seriously, when have you seen a villain dress as well as Muzan? I’ll wait.

20. Ragyou Kiryuuin

Anime: Kill la Kill

What can I say? The 21^st century really saw the rise of hot moms, and Ragyou definitely falls under that category.

Her name also sounds like a pasta sauce. But that’s just me thinking with my stomach.

Ragyou has that mature lady appeal where she always seems dolled up and classy, like she could go to a five star restaurant at any moment and be the most beautiful woman there.

The heavy amount of cleavage also boosts her stats quite noticeably.

19. Dio Brando

Anime: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

I think we can all agree that Dio is basically a sex-symbol at this point.

Even though every character in JoJo’s is a buff beautiful man, Dio still manages to stand out as far as raw appeal goes.

Like a few guys on this list, it’s probably the whole “damaged goods” plus “extremely cocky” combo that makes him so alluring.

Naruto has quite the few villain hunks, as you’ll soon see. But Pain holds a special place in my heart.

Notice I wrote Pain, not Nagato, as let’s face it: everyone associates the deva path as the true face of this villain.

If you’re the type of person who likes edgy, morbid, one man army villains, then Pain should definitely be right up your alley.

How he manages to pull off so many piercings I do not know. But he looks like a true badass.

16. Himiko Toga

Anime: My Hero Academia
If you’re in the yandere sect then you already know the beauty of Toga.

She’s simply insane.

But somehow anime takes that insanity and just creates a really cool and really attractive character. Sure, she might stab you, peel you like a potato, eat your skin, or just become you.

But she will look oddly hot while doing so.

And in her interactions with Twice we’ve learned that she is far from uncaring, in fact she had quite a few waifu moments.

15. Android 18

Anime: Dragon Ball Z

I still don’t fully understand why, but the second Android 18 hit the screens in the 2000s, everyone was just like “yep, she is best girl and I do not care how far her genocide continues”.

Is it because she absolutely kills that hairstyle? Or because she has that “strong, independent woman who takes names and not excuses” vibe that we’ve all grown to love?

I honestly have no clue. But it is safe to say that for once, Krillin scored a W.

And if you want to argue that she’s not a villain, go talk to alternative future Trunks.

14. Chrollo Lucilfer

Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011)

In his usual extravagant mafia boss outfit, Chrollo is like a strong 7 to me.

However, that one time he put on a suit and a headband he skyrocketed to a 10 so fast my head started to spin.

It’s just that perfect combination of elegant gentleman and bad boy that you just can’t resist.

Plus he’s a bit of a psychopath. So if he has any interest in your Nen ability, he will make you feel like an absolute king or queen… before he just gets what he wants, that is.

13. Izaya Orihara

Anime: Durarara!!

Okay maybe I’m just into damaged men for this list, because surprise surprise… Izaya plays with a severed head when he’s bored, and drives people to suicide.

And yet I literally cannot bring myself to hate the guy.

He’s an absolute genius, but also has the courage to go head to head with a literal Hulk.

That’s a combination that you don’t often get to see.

The thing is, it isn’t even just blind courage. The guy is really fast, really strong, and really adept at fighting. That coat also really fits him perfectly.

12. Light Yagami

Anime: Death Note

Light was one of the original anime villains that everyone secretly wanted to bang, as his brilliance coupled with his good looks just turned a lot of gears for a lot of people.

Plus he looks a bit more believable than most villains: just a tall brown-haired boy in a school uniform. So it’s easier for his appeal to hit close to home.

I will say though that any bit of attraction goes out the window once he starts screaming at graves and making his victory faces.

11. Flare Corona

Anime: Fairy Tail

If you liked Jessica Rabbit (which let’s face it you did) than Flare should be close to your heart as well.

Given of course that there is a lot more fear associated with our dear Flare. Her last name alone would make the entire world shiver in 2020 and that isn’t even her most intimidating feature. The real winner would probably be her eyes whenever she feels like someone’s pulse is just way too frequent. If you going with an optimistic outlook on life at least you can say that the last thing you see will be something beautiful.

10. Hisoka Morow

Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011)

I feel like Hisoka just plays by different rules compared to everyone else.

Not only did he manage to make a clown appearance look hot as hell (eat your heart out Jered Leto) but he actually made us all forget about his predatory tendencies.

The man is so attractive, in his own twisted and demented way, that the entire Hunter x Hunter community just kind of gave him a P-word pass. And then built a shrine for him in their closet.

I swear, anime can do some nutty things.

9. Dabi

Anime: My Hero Academia

Dabi is the ultimate goal of anyone who shops at Hot Topic. It just is what it is.

He’s just this tall handsome guy with scars and piercings all over his face and arms, with deep blue eyes that somehow always clearly show his willingness to murder you.

And in a similar fashion to Hisoka, we just all gave it a giant thumbs up and have stanned our boy ever since his first appearance. Even though he has yet to actually do anything major in the story.

He’s like the ultimate E-Boy, and I am oddly okay with that.

8. Raynare

Anime: High School DXD

Just look at his picture and then look at the show she’s from. Is there really any need to clarify her position here?

High School DXD has just hacked the male mainframe and keeps giving us babe after babe.

And with Raynare they just couldn’t help themselves from making her look like she’s constantly part of some bondage roleplay.

They also gave her wings and fangs, just to really cover their bases as far as what’s attractive.

7. Itachi Uchiha

Anime: Naruto

Itachi is hailed by many as the true unsung hero of the entire franchise.

But considering that he did still murder an entire clan, I’m going to count him in. Plus, I just really want to include my boy.

From his introduction, Itachi is made out to be this untouchable older brother who slaughtered his own family, and again, damaged goods make for some hot characters.

But then you learn about his backstory and see that he’s not actually damaged, but just has such a high and strong code of morality that there honestly needs to be a religion around him.

6. Ryunosuke Akutagawa

Anime: Bungo Stray Dogs

And we have somehow returned to Hot Topic, how weird.

Ryunosuke is a rather simple bad boy, as he’s basically a “notice me senpai” tsundere.

Given how much female tsundere are gobbled up by the community, it’s no surprise that he saw a similar degree of success.

His features are oddly soft, even elegant, but his power and the fact that he’s still in the mafia quickly throws the ball back into the bad boy court.

5. Griffith

Anime: Berserk

You know how for guys you don’t usually use the word “beautiful”, but rather handsome because of gender and semantic norms? That does not apply to Griffith.

He is a beautiful and powerful dude.

Griffith is simply a true protagonist in a way, seemingly perfect in every sense and with the power to unite all those who listen to him for like 15 seconds.

However, his ideals are as out of this world as is his personality, a trait that would lead to him landing a spot on this list and not the “hottest heroes”.

4. Tsukasa Shishio

Anime: Dr. Stone

If you like your men as manly as they can possibly be, then Tsukasa might just be the person receiving a rose tonight.

At first glance it’s easy to chalk him up to a meathead, as he does sucker-punch a lion the second he opens his eyes. But he also has quite the head on his shoulders.

He has set ideals on what the future should look like, and has enough charisma to make people follow him without question.

Just imagine how quickly the plot would have progressed were it not for his dispute with Senku over the whole “is murder really that bad” question.

3. Ruri Hijiribe

Anime: Durarara!!

Sometimes you’re kawaii, other times you’re a killer. And Ruri just happens to be both.

However, she isn’t quite the standard anime female murder spree character, as she doesn’t find any real satisfaction in it. And even ends up with a guilty conscience.

She does, however, go for the bowels and general stomach area. Which is quite the trend I must say.

Her unkempt bangs give her some of that kawaii factor. And the fact that she could probably beat you up gives her just enough “uf” energy to really hammer her position on this list.

2. Albedo

If you’re the type who likes a girl with some backbone, but also want to be the dominant one in the relationship, then Albedo is an obvious pick.

Her devotion to Ainz is absolute. And even a head pat can make her go into a frenzy.

But she also has no issues with murdering anyone who dares show her or her bonny boy any form of disrespect.

You could also say that she’s quite “horny” and can’t wait to jump Ainz’s bones. Okay, I’ll stop with the puns.

This is one wicked witch I could totally get behind.

Just imagine having tea with a hot babe in a landscape like that classic Windows XP background. A truly perfect date.

Appearance-wise Echidna initially was simply in the “cute” category for me.

But once I saw what she was capable of, and how her title should not be taken lightly, she just kind of migrated straight to the “hot” category with no chance of return.
