Annie has always been a staple champion in League of Legends.

Getting beaten by a little girl never goes out of fashion.

Plus, a five man Tibbers will always swing the tides of a game. So in the spirit of being a little girl, it’s time to play dress up and look at some cosmetics!

There are quite a few skins to choose from, so it’s my goal here to rank all of her skins based on what they bring to the table and their prices.

14. Prom Queen Annie

Released: February 7th, 2011
Price: 520 RP

This is a very simple and very cheap skin. But it is by far my least favorite.

Considering it only costs 520 RP, it’s not a big shock that the skin only offers some character model changes for Annie and Tibbers. But the theme is also sort of dull.

Although Annie is supposedly a Prom Queen, this just has major beauty pageant vibes. And Annie just looks like the token mean girl with rich parents that you see in every Disney movie.

The fire particles don’t make a lick of sense with this skin, and the splash art is just okay.

I will give this some brownie points for giving Tibbers a fedora, as that’s comedy gold. But it’s not enough to bump this out of last place.

13. Red Riding Annie

Released: April 27th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

Just like the previous pick, this skin only offers character model changes to Annie and Tibbers, while the animations and particles are the same as the base skin.

I honestly really like the idea behind Red Riding Annie, as the story is a classic and it oddly fits in with Annie’s theme.

However, I’m also extremely tilted that Riot didn’t take this skin to its logical conclusion and turn Tibbers into a wolf. Instead that’s just the base model but slightly darkened!

And it’s a shame, as I really like how they handled Annie’s character model.

So this is a decent skin that got severely nerfed in my ranking only because it didn’t take the logical step towards a glorious evolution.

12. Hextech Annie

Released: March 15th, 2016
Price: 10 Gemstones

Okay, I’ll admit that this skin is pretty good when it comes to design.

That being said, it’s way too expensive for what it brings to the table.

The character model is rather mid-tier in my opinion. It doesn’t really blow me away, but it does fit the theme pretty nicely.

The new animations are rather flashy and give us a much-needed break from just differently colored fire. And the backing animation is extremely underwhelming, but still new and Tibbers just looks badass.

All of that being said, there’s a different Annie skin that covers this exact same theme but doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for it… so Hextech Annie comes off a bit mediocre in the grand scheme of things.

11. Sweetheart Annie

Released: February 13th, 2015
Price: 750 RP

Sweetheart Annie was simply beaten at its own game by a different skin (mentioned further in this ranking).

Sweetheart Annie offers no new animations or particles, and instead it just cranks up the cuteness level of Annie’s character model – and the terrifying cuteness of Tibbers.

Annie’s character model here is okay overall, although I do question why Riot gave her golden locks in the splash art, but white hair in-game… and Tibbers’ design is just hilarious.

Like honestly, you get to maul people with a giant care-bear.

All in all, this one is also “just okay”. But if you want a really cute skin for Annie and you have a few extra coins to spare, I’d say keep reading cause we’ve got another one coming up.

10. Annie in Wonderland

Released: August 16th, 2010
Price: 1820 RP

I really love Annie in Wonderland. And the visual update has certainly given this skin some much needed new features – but it still feels overpriced.

The new animations are pretty amazing, with some nice colors and a very magical vibe to it all, with the W stealing the show by throwing some cards into the mix.

Annie also gets some rather soothing new particles on her dance emote and on her backing animations.

The character models though could have used a bit more effort.

Annie just looks bland and for a legendary skin… I also expected more from Tibbers than just some floppy ears.

This skin’s theme is extremely fitting, that’s 100% true.

But call me when it either becomes less expensive, or when Tibbers turns into a menacing Cheshire Cat-themed creature.

9. Goth Annie

Released: October 27th, 2009
Price: Digital Collector’s Pack

Goth Annie is just a headache to rank in these types of lists.

Why?

Because getting it is almost impossible.

Plus, the skin itself is a mix of some pretty cool features and some outdated designs. First off, the character model is as old school as you can get, which is a major plus if you’re an Annie veteran – but a major downside if you’re used to polished skins.

The new ability animations look pretty cool though, as the purple color scheme makes you look extremely menacing. But it also just boils down to recolored animations.

Tibbers is simply terrifying here. Riot’s design team really put a strong emphasis on his undead nature – but it still can’t compare to the details of newer skins.

And the new splash art is just amazing.

So overall, Goth Annie is a really unique skin. But you really have to love Annie if you want to set out on the journey of finding one of these badboys.

8. FrankenTibbers Annie

Released: October 19th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

I have to give credit where credit is due, and this skin is lowkey brilliant in both conception and execution.

All of your abilities have been recolored into green which fits the theme way better and makes it so that your abilities are harder to see when on the Rift.

Tibbers being the monster is also a rather cool idea. And I have to say that the character model actually lives up to the hype.

Annie’s character model here is rather faithful to the theme, but I could definitely see some people not liking it as much, as it doesn’t even try to make Annie cute.

So if you want to be a terror on the Rift and not just some cute little girl who likes to play with matches, this could be the skin for you.

7. Frostfire Annie

Released: May 24th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

Let’s be honest: every other champion in League of Legends has a snow-themed skin these days.

But what this skin lacks in originality, it makes up for with solid character models and a low price.

As one could expect, Annie is her usual preppy self – but this time in a winter coat, while Tibbers is a pissed off polar bear with a hat.

With this skin, all of your ability particles have been changed and recolored into blue. But I will say that it’s slightly disappointing that Riot kept the base sound effects, as it totally kills the ice magic vibe.

The price is only 975 RP, so I can’t be too hard on it.

But this one could have been a bit more convincing for sure.

6. Reverse Annie

Released: September 6th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

Reverse Annie is the final skin on this list that only brings new character models to the table, while the animations and particles remain untouched.

But what can I say is that the idea behind this skin carries it super hard.

First off, I have to express how much I love the splash art. Even though you can definitely see its age – but I have never seen Tibbers look so derpy. And derpiness if the backbone of this skin!

Annie is wearing a Tibbers costume, and Tibbers is wearing an Annie costume.

That’s all there is here.

Yet the skin is simply too hilarious not to rank at least around mid-tier.

Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor, who knows?

5. Lunar Beast Annie

Released: February 4th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

Now that we’re closing in towards the top, just know that the margins are razor thin regarding which skin gets ranked in which exact spot.

I swapped these around like five times already before writing.

But here we have Lunar Beast Annie. And it’s pretty good.

When it comes to the character model, Annie looks like every Eastern MMORPG loli class that I have ever seen – and Tibbers just straight-up looks like a god. So the skin is pretty strong on that front.

The ability animations and particles stay true to the fire theme, but they’re stylized quite a bit so it’s prettier to look at. Also quite a positive.

And the backing animation is just goofy and pleasant.

Lunar Beast Annie is pretty good on all fronts, and it has thus set the bar for some of the better skins to come.

4. Annie-Versary

Released: October 27th, 2019
Price: 10th Anniversary Reward

Just like Goth Annie, this one was a hassle to rank because of its special pricing.

It isn’t nearly as rare as Goth Annie. But if you were not around two years ago, tough luck.

And it’s a shame, because this skin is so great.

All of Annie’s ability animations have been given quite the festive color palette here. And her character model reflects that as well.

Even her backing animation is just a mini celebration of Riot’s milestone.

But the real kicker is the R – as you literally summon a buffed Teemo to beat all your enemies to death.

It never gets less funny, and that alone makes this skin a must-have for Annie mains.

3. Super Galaxy Annie

Released: October 16th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

Now this is how you do a futuristic skin!

Annie’s character model here is on the more minimalistic side. But it honestly suits the theme perfectly, with her toy Tibbers being both a weapon and a getaway vehicle in her backing animation. Plus the two control panels on her wrists that she uses to pull off her futuristic stunts are incredible.

The Q and W animations are basically just fire, but more high tech.

He E has some really nice hologram particles too, which I also quite enjoy.

And of course, Tibbers is a literal battle mech with all the Gundam goodness you would expect from a skin like this.

Top class overall.

2. Café Cuties Annie

Released: December 2nd, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

This entire skin line is just truly something.

When it comes down to just the number of features and/or the amount of polish, no Annie skin even comes near this one.

All of the animations have been completely reworked, to the point where even the fireball in your hand is now a little cupcake.

Annie’s character model is as fresh and as cute as it will ever get. And Tibbers being a giant gummy bear with a moustache is equal parts hilarious and badass.

I do have a small gripe with this skin, though, as the new sound effects don’t sound as impactful as the base ones.

That isn’t enough of a nuisance to severely nerf the ranking of the skin. But it is enough to rob it of the number one spot.

1. Panda Annie

Released: February 8th, 2013
Price: 975 RP

Maybe I’m just a bit old-school, but Panda Annie still seems like the best overall choice when it comes to the price to quality ratio.

Sure, there aren’t any new particles that are going to blow you away, since the skin stays true to the original fire theme. But it’s hardly an issue here.

Annie’s character model is pretty simple too – but brilliantly done.

And Tibbers being a giant panda just makes sense to me.

He also has quite the bit of detail for a 975 RP skin.

Plus, the backing animation (while simple) is the best one in Annie’s entire line-up. And I am honestly fascinated that this isn’t her base recall.

Hugging Tibbers just makes too much sense not to love. And for all of these reasons, Panda Annie deserves recognition if you ask me.
