Sure, you can be “good” and stick to an Arcade skin. But there’s nothing more satisfying than the dark side.

Destruction, badass weapons, killer outfits – you can’t deny the dark side’s edginess is a total vibe.

So why not go full out and own your inner evil by picking up a Battle Boss skin?

These skins essentially transform you into villains from old school Arcade games, pleasing your inner evil while unlocking some sweet nostalgia.

7. Battle Boss Yasuo

Released: June 28th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

This skin doesn’t really give off a Battle Boss look, in my opinion.

It’s too colorful and bright. And the sword looks like it could actually belong to a hero.

Most of the animations and sound effects are equally underwhelming; they’re pretty clunky, and while the 8-bit inspo is clearly there, it feel like it’s been forced in.

The skin does have some redeeming qualities though.

The recall is absolutely hilarious – you get to see Yasuo battle it out with a pixelated Poro – and the Q is slick and totally badass.

6. Battle Boss Qiyana

Released: June 28th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

Battle Boss Qiyana is pretty much a princess turned rogue.

She’s swapped out the glitter and sparkles for a badass purple outfit and an evil-looking crown.

The overall look is awesome, and the animations and particle effects are equally insane; every ability has been updated with flashy 8-bit effects, and each weapon form is unique and distinct.

Sound effects really take you back to the Arcade scene too, with pews, pows, and even level up noises.

While the skin does make you feel like the flashiest villain out there, it does have a drawback: it doesn’t offer the greatest visual clarity.

While this won’t bother casual gamers, those looking to climb the ranked ladder should probably give this skin a miss.

5. Battle Boss Brand

Released: August 8th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

While I’m not overly won over by the skin’s character model, the animations are absolutely evil, and absolutely divine.

They’re packed with badass 8-bit inspiration – even down to the fire particle effects.

Plus, his ultimate basically throws a one-shotting Pac-Man ghost at your enemies.

What makes this skin so great though is that it actually offers gamechanging visual clarity.

The abilities are exceptionally smooth and easy to see; the skin shows how many bounces your ult does, and the burn indicator is impossible to miss.

To top it all off, the splash art is honestly the most badass thing in existence.

4. Battle Boss Malzahar

Released: August 8th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

Malzahar is the epitome of a 90s villain.

He rocks a mecha-like outfit and 8-bit particle effects, with each ability paying homage to old school geek culture in some way or another.

However, what really sets this skin apart is that it makes you feel like you’re breaking the game’s code.

Yep. The Rift is essentially transformed into the Matrix, and you’re in control; his W summons up crawlers to do his bidding, while his E visually breaks the code of champions.

His ultimate also breaks the map, causing his enemies to be sucked below into an uncoded void.

So yep, you’re basically erasing your enemies from existence.

You can’t get more badass than that.

3. Battle Boss Ziggs

Released: August 8th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

Battle Boss Ziggs is one of the most fun skins to play with in the game; it turns you into a more high-tech, evil version of bomberman.

Your bombs come to life on the screen with pixelated evil facial expressions, and every attack is complemented by iconic arcade sound effects.

What makes this skin a total blast (pun intended) though is the ultimate.

It feels extremely impactful and covers your entire screen with explosive, 8-bit goodness.

Plus, there are a lot of humorous touches.

The W is basically a pixel creature with a bad temper, and even Zigg’s mines have personalities.

The death animation is also insanely creative.

2. Battle Boss Blitzcrank

Released: August 19th, 2015
Price: 1350 RP

Arcade crane games are the worst.

The odds of a crane machine picking up the thing you want is close to zilch – unless you’re willing to fork out an endless amount of cents.

So why not take matters into your own hands?

This skin transforms Blitzcrank into a high tech (and seriously evil-looking) crane game where the odds of winning are solely based on your skill level.

Jokes aside, Battle Boss Blitzcrank is a stunning skin packed with badass particle effects and heavenly sound effects.

It has absolutely nailed the arcade villain vibe, and the recall is insanely creative – it captures the no.1 struggle of 90s gamers across the world: trying to fit a cartridge into your Gameboy.

1. Final Boss Veigar

Released: August 27th, 2014
Price: 1820 RP

Despite being over 7 years old, this skin hasn’t aged in the slightest.

And there’s a good reason for it:

It’s not just the best Battle Boss skin, it’s one of the best skins in the whole game.

Veigar’s destiny is to be an evil ruler.

And Final Boss Veigar lets him (and you) live out that dream to the fullest.

You look totally badass with a pixelated cape, and the animations feel and look utterly powerful.

Each animation further immerses you in his villainous vibe as well – the ult even allows you to break your enemy’s code.

Particle effects are clean, slick, and ultra-smooth.

Plus the emotes are unique and downright hilarious; in one, Veigar dances the cancan with a remote-controlled hand, while in another he literally transforms into a 2D pixel art of himself.

But what really makes Final Boss Veigar worthy of the top spot?

The fact that he now has the most evil-sounding laugh ever and spurts out new, meme-worthy voice lines like: “This isn’t even my final form!
