League of Legends might be a free-to-play game, but if you want to give your main champion a glow up?

You need to splash the cash.

And in some cases, a lot. Legendary skins can even set you back 3250 RP (around $25).

However, gaming on a budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. There are plenty of LoL skins that are inspired, stylish, and won’t drain your savings.

Some even feature unique voice lines and particle effects, despite costing under $5.

And these are the absolute best skins for League of Legends that you can pick up on the cheap.

10. Battle Regalia Poppy

Released: March 15th, 2011
Price: 520 RP

After a skin that’s accurate to the lore?

Then look no further.

This skin turns Poppy into the warrior she is at heart:

She sports gold-plated armor, a glowing shield, and a snazzy Norse-inspired helmet.

Her new hammer also gives off total Thor vibes, allowing you to feel like a total badass whenever you hurtle your enemies across the map.

While I’m not a big fan of the face – I would have preferred some battle scars thrown into the design – I can’t really fault it when it’s only 520 RP.

9. Sashimi Akali

Released: September 7th, 2016
Price: 750 RP

Mastering the blade takes time, dedication, and practice.

So what better way to brush up on your skills than in the kitchen?

If you haven’t already guessed by the name, this hilarious skin turns Akali into a Michelin star sushi chef.

She sports a classic white apron, a headband to keep her red curls in place, and a sharp sashimi knife (that’ll definitely induce terror in Nami).

Sashimi Akali also has some cute touches, like a pink bento box with a kawaii cat logo.

Overall, the skin is sweet and playful, though it would have been x10 better if they changed the emote where Akali slurps on ramen to her eating some sushi.

8. Draven Draven

Released: March 31st, 2016
Price: 520 RP

This is a skin you’ll either love to the point of worship, or hate to the point you’ll want to burn your eyes with acid.

Draven Draven doesn’t technically “add” anything – there’s no new outfit, no updated particle effects, and no unique animations.

The only thing it changes?

Turning Draven into a bobblehead figure.

Yep. It’s ridiculous.

It’s hilarious.

And it really plays into the bigheaded reputation Draven players are renowned for.

7. Aviator Irelia

Released: November 16th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

This skin pretty much lets you cosplay as Amelia Earhart;

It puts Irelia in a traditional aviator outfit, complete with baggy pants and a cute aviator cap.

Even her weapons have been changed into propeller blades.

What makes this skin particularly worth the buck though is that it comes with some unique (and hilarious) voice lines, like “coming in to refuel” and “I said tray tables up!”

Oh, and to top it all off?

The postcard-style splash art is super adorable!

6. Definitely Not Vel’Koz

Released: March 31st, 2016
Price: 750 RP

I’m not quite sure which champion this skin belongs to. I feel like I recognize the champion, but it just slips my mind…

But there’s one thing I know for sure: it’s definitely not Vel’Koz.

Jokes aside, this skin is downright goofy – and it’s perfect if you’re a lover of dad jokes.

Vel’Koz’s lethal tentacles have been tucked into a dapper pinstripe suit, and he rocks a fake mustache and nose.

And to complete his “I’m definitely just a run-of-the-mill office worker and not a void creature hellbent on destruction” look?

He carries around a mug of coffee and wears a pair of snazzy cufflinks.

Corporate Mundo would definitely hire him.

5. Bard Bard

Released: November 17th, 2016
Price: 750 RP

Honestly, this skin is comedic gold.

Bard is essentially given a “Bard” makeover, with all the appropriate renaissance attire and gear.

His weapon is now a giant gold trumpet and he sports a matching gold mask.

There’s even musical particle effects, and his meeps strut around in lil feather hats.

Is it over the top? Yes.

Is it something that you don’t really need? Yes.

But do you want it?

Of course you do.

4. Grungy Nunu

Released: August 10th, 2010
Price: 750 RP

Most adorable budget-friendly skin, coming through!

Grungy Nunu is whimsical, playful, and it basically turns the two best friends into Sulley and Boo from Monsters, Inc.

Aside from blessing your screen with neverending in-game cuteness, this skin also ups your chances of winning.

After all, you really can’t get tilted when you’re staring at a pair of cute fluffballs 24/7.

3. Order of the Banana Soraka

Released: March 31st, 2015
Price: 750 RP

When Order of the Banana Soraka was released, meme-loving LoL players around the world rejoiced, celebrated, and insta-bought RP.

Sure, the skin doesn’t have any flashy particle effects. And the outfit itself is pretty basic – she’s just wearing a summer hat and a skimpy purple dress.

But it does let you throw literal bananas at your opponents.

Even the staff is a giant gold banana.

Order of the Banana Soraka is honestly the most hilarious budget-friendly skin ever.

And death by bananas is sure to perma-tilt your enemies.

2. Spectral Fiddlesticks

Released: March 16th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

This skin gives Fiddlesticks a ghoulish glow up that will definitely haunt your dreams.

Instead of a scarecrow, he now takes the guise of a possessed candlestick holder (sadly not the Beauty & the Beast kind), and is equipped with a nightmarish smile and creaking arms.

The standard beige colors have been swapped out for eerie blues and greens, and there’s even references to the Iron Maiden torture device.

All in all, this skin complements Fiddlestick’s character exceptionally well.

Plus it’s a perfect way to show off your love for all things ghastly (or a way to get yourself into the Halloween spirit).

1. Giant Enemy Crabgot

Released: August 24th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

Coming out on top is Giant Enemy Crabgot.

Giant Enemy Crabgot is genuinely a 1350 RP skin that’s hidden under a 520 RP price tag.

The splash art makes you feel as badass as Cthulhu, and the in-game design is brimming with originality, from battle-hardened crab claws to fiery blue orbs which pop to life on your screen.

Even the particle effects have been upgraded, with each attack now colored a fitting, sea-themed blue.

Plus the animations look and feel incredibly smooth.

To top it all off, the ultimate gives you a totally new way to slaughter your enemies: instead of a chainsaw stomach, you pull them into a mouth lined with razor-sharp teeth.

You can’t get more badass than that.
