The Death Sworn skin line, as its name suggests, is all about death, ghosts, and edginess.

It essentially transforms champions into vengeful spirits determined to bring down living souls to the depths of hell.

So yep, it basically gives champions a “Thresh” glow up.

These skins are sure to satisfy your inner edgelord and are also apt for Halloween (or just, you know, inducing nightmares in your enemies).

So, let’s take a closer look at these fabulously ghoulish skins.

7. Reaper Hecarim

Released: April 17th, 2012
Price: 975 RP

Reaper Hecarim definitely shows its age, but it’s still a solid skin overall.

It essentially gives Hecarim a more ghoulish look, with a demonic skull head, executioner style armor, and nightmare-inducing scythe.

His entire body also has an eerie glow to it.

Overall though?

There isn’t much else to say about this skin. It’s not the most unique out there.

It’s also pretty expensive considering that it’s essentially just a ghostly version of the base model.

6. Reaper Soraka

Released: November 5th, 2014
Price: 1350 RP

I’m not 100% won over by this skin.

It feels a bit of an insult to Soraka’s character.

I mean, it basically turns Soraka – a champion all about saving the world and healing her allies with bananas – into a shinigami.

But if you can look past the blatant disregard to Soraka’s personality, it’s a pretty nifty skin.

The edgy look is a refreshing take, and while the character model is simple it’s well-designed and adds a mysterious flair.

Plus the voice filter also makes Soraka sound like a vengeful spirit.

To top it off?

The animations are slick and come packed with a surprising amount of ghoulish details.

5. Underworld Wukong

Released: October 28th, 2014
Price: 1350 RP

Underworld Wukong has all the qualities you would expect an undead entity to have; ghoulish-green skin, a scythe, and dark, battle-worn armor.

It’s a nice spooky design overall, but it does fall a little flat.

Mainly because the character model could do with a bit more ghoulish textures; at the moment, it kind of looks like Wukong just painted himself blue and green.

The animations are also pretty lackluster.

But hey, if you’ve ever dreamed of being Jack the undead monkey from Pirates of the Caribbean?

The skin delivers on all fronts (and yes, I will silently judge you).

4. Death Sworn Zed

Released: October 25th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

This skin definitely has the edgy, ghoulish vibe going on, which is what we’re all here for, but it strays a bit too far from Zed’s character model for my liking.

It even swaps out Zed’s iconic shurikens for swords (and wolverine claws).

Nevertheless, there is still a lot to appreciate in this skin.

The splash art is a spooky masterpiece, the recall is totally badass, and the particle effects feel clean and eerie.

Plus the ultimate is flashy and literally lets you suck the souls out of your enemies (move over, Thresh).

3. Underworld Twisted Fate

Released: October 26th, 2012
Price: 975 RP

This skin is basically a ghoulish version of Twisted Fate’s base model, and I’m here for it.

I mean, what’s not to love about a phantom cowboy wreaking havoc in the Rift?

Every element is extremely polished, and the character model is mysterious, spooky, and packed with killer details.

I also seriously love how Riot even gave Twisted Fate’s cards a ghostly look.

Sadly, while badass, I can’t give this skin a spot higher than this — there’s another TF skin that delves into this exact same theme, but it looks a thousand times better.

And yes, I’m talkin about Crime City Nightmare.

2. Death Sworn Katarina

Released: October 25th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

This skin transforms Katarina into the empress of the undead realm.

Everything about the character model screams “a powerful, otherworldly being,” from her glowing blades and metallic shoulder pads, to her flowing, ethereal hair.

The animations are also a visual treat like no other.

Auto attacks are satisfying and ultra-flashy, her Q leaves a trail of ghostly mist, and the ult is basically a flurry of daggers, dark energy, and demonic hues.

Even the recall is captivating.

Plus, the sound effects are insanely smooth and clear.

My only real gripe is that the skin’s splash art is a little lackluster; I would have liked something a bit more dark and spooky.

1. Death Sworn Viktor

Released: October 25th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

Viktor is practically the definition of an edgelord, so it’s no surprise that this skin — which ups his edginess by tenfold — suits him so wonderfully.

Instead of a scientist that took his research too far, he’s now a ghastly wraith rocking badass armor, a haunted weapon, and the eye of Satan.

The animations are equally superb.

The W looks like a summoning ritual and is packed with eerie runes, while the E is a flashy, ghoulish beam that sears through the ground.

And the ultimate?

It’s basically a portal to the underworld.
