For many years, Vi has simply been known as a smashin’ jungler with an equally smashin’ attitude. She didn’t have much substance to her.

Then the Arcane series came out.

And boy, did Vi punch our hearts hard. She changed our perception of her entirely.

Her story, her character, her personality – you can’t help but fall in love with her (Cait certainly did!)

And if you’re anything like me, you probably want to main her for the rest of your life.

So why not show respect to Vi (aka your new main) by buying a skin for her?

And below we’ll be ranking Vi’s best skins from her library, rating them on qualities such as theme, overall look, and animation effects.

9. Debonair Vi

Released: August 5th, 2014
Price: 750 RP

Aight. Debonair Vi is a bit of a letdown.

While it’s the cheapest Vi skin out there, I still wouldn’t personally spend a dime on it.

The skin just doesn’t live up to its theme; Vi should look red carpet worthy, but instead she just looks bland.

The colors are equally dull and barely catch your eye. Vi’s base skin honestly has more vibrant hues.

That said, I do appreciate the slicked back hairstyle – Caitlyn would definitely love it too. And the waistcoat has total “Piltover” vibes.

8. Warring Kingdoms Vi

Released: January 19th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

Warring Kingdoms Vi is a bit like Teemo; you either love it or hate it (with the vast majority leaning on the “hate” side).

Personally, I’m in the hate camp. But I can see the appeal – the skin gives Vi a mystical look, and her gauntlets are embossed with gorgeous lions.

The downside?

The colors are utterly horrible.

The main color is a sickly and obtrusive green, and everything about it rubs me the wrong way.

To be fair, I’ve always hated Thresh as a champion (way too many tilt-inducing hooks). Perhaps I’ve just got some “green-themed” trauma.

7. Heartbreaker Vi

Released: February 11th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

This skin turns Vi into a cute yet deadly warrior queen.

Her armor? On fleek.

Her hair? 100% classy.

The rusted-over gauntlets? Long gone and replaced with ones adorned with gold.

The special effects are sweet too; there’s sparkly hearts, petals, and a whole lot of pink.

While I absolutely adore the colors and design of this skin, it doesn’t really deserve a top 5 spot. It’s just…. so far from something Vi would actually wear. It doesn’t honor her character whatsoever.

I don’t think even Caitlyn would appreciate this skin.

6. Demon Vi

Released: October 19th, 2015
Price: 1350 RP

Are you tired of your allies blaming you every time they lose their 1v1 lanes?

Of are you tired of hearing “jung diff” or “gank me” each second you’re in the Rift?

Well then you’ll definitely want to check out the Demon Vi skin – it literally shows your allies (aka “frenemies”) that you’re not here to do their bidding.

After all, demons don’t obey mere mortals clacking away at keyboards. Mortals are the ones who bow down to them.

Jokes aside, Demon Vi is a badass skin that truly honors the theme (Debonair, watch and learn).

The skin bestows Vi some snazzy devil horns, hellish gauntlets, and ghoulish armor.

And the animations are devilish too. Whenever Vi attacks, she grows pink wings and a demonic tail that flows with her every move.

5. Neon Strike Vi

Released: December 19th, 2012
Price: 975 RP

Everything about Neon Strike Vi is fun, from the bright yellow jumpsuit to the groovy shades that clearly belong back in the 80s.

There are even lil bear faces on the gauntlets (total pawfection).

Plus, using Neon Strike Vi in game honestly soothes the soul.

Sure, your teammates might be flaming you left, right and center. But at least you’ve got some snazzy shades and a disco-worthy outfit for company.

The recall is pretty awesome too; rainbows, twirls, goofy poses – what’s not to love?

4. PsyOps Vi

Released: September 3rd, 2020
Price: 1350 RP

PsyOps Vi is cyberpunk-galore: the outfit is clearly inspired by the Matrix, and the gauntlets have been given a rough and battle-worn touch.

The skin even gives Vi glowing purple eyes (perhaps someone should tell her to lay off the shimmer?)

While it’s not the most eye-catching skin, the new animations allow you to blast your enemies with psychedelic hues, and the recall captures a neat battle against the dark forces.

Although the demonic hands grasping at her feet are a lil nightmare-inducing.

Oh, and just try to ignore the “karen” haircut.

3. Officer Vi

Released: October 29th, 2013
Price: 975 RP

Officer Vi is here to deliver swift justice.

And trust me – it packs a punch.

This skin is close to perfection. It fits Vi’s personality, it’s unique and it’s totally hilarious – whenever you chase down the enemy, flashing police lights appear and a siren plays out loud.

Plus it’s only 975 RP (a total steal, ahem, sorry Officer Vi. I meant bargain).

Oh, and she fights crime while wearing heels. Classy AND badass.

2. Arcane Vi

Released: November 15th, 2021
Price: 975 RP (free for limited time)

Arcane Vi doesn’t exactly give Vi a glamorous makeover.

Nor is it particularly unique.

However, it’s by far the most accurate skin lore-wise. And I’m way too emotionally attached to it to give it a lower ranking.

Every time I see this skin, I remember the show and all the challenges and heartbreak Vi went through.

I remember her determination, courage, and bravery, and how she stops at nothing to protect those around her.

This skin genuinely makes me feel closer to Vi than I have ever felt – and hey, it looks totally badass – and Rito did give it to us for free!

1. PROJECT: Vi

Released: November 22nd, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

PROJECT: Vi has the best animations by far.

They’re eyecatching, futuristic, and really give her punches some sci-fi oomph. The animations also feel super smooth and sleek in-game.

Besides the fantastic animations, PROJECT: Vi also looks stunning.

Vi’s gauntlets have been cybernetically enhanced and now have a fiery glow, and she’s rocking an edgy, silver hairdo.

Plus the recall is a visual treat, especially if you’re into sci-fi:

Vi interacts with various holograms, with one of the holograms being Jhin (who she then… punches where it hurts. Yikes).
