I think we can all agree that Warwick had one of the best VGUs ever conceived by Riot.

But how did this new look reflect Warwick’s look? Or more precisely, his skin line?

That’s a question we’ll be diving into with this ranking, as we look into all of Warwick’s skins and decide whether they’re worth a buy. And we’ll be taking into account what each skin brings to the table, and how much RP you’ll have to sink into your new look.

Let’s go!

11. Feral Warwick

Released: November 16th, 2010
Price: 975 RP

To be honest with you, none of the Warwick skins really miss the mark in any way.

So a lot of these rankings are very nitpicky.

Feral Warwick definitely lives up to his name, as he 100% has rabies. However he looks more like a rabbit squirl than a terrifying wolf.

The Zaun influence is still very much present, and his animations were given a green coat of paint to better reflect that.

But ultimately the skin didn’t do too much for its price tag.

I say that because Warwick has some amazingly cheap skins, so it’s only logical that the expensive ones blow you away.

10. Urfwick / Urf the Manatee

Released: March 31st, 2010 / November 8th, 2017
Price: 5000 RP/ 1500000 Blue Essence

Let’s not kid ourselves: these two skins are the exact same.

While I do like the overall idea behind the skin, I’m severely disappointed with some of Riot’s decisions.

Sure, it’s a rather rare skin that you can flex online in order to get clout.

And yes, URF is the best game mode and I thank the Lord for bringing it into existence.

However, how do you make an URF skin without putting more URF into it?

The fact that the URF theme song isn’t blowing up my speakers whenever I press W is just disappointing. And even something as simple as adding the URF howl would have made this skin a lot better.

I will say that the recall animation is sick, though.

So, as a collector’s item, it’s great.

But as a stand-alone skin? A bit meh in my eyes.

9. Marauder Warwick

Released: February 17th, 2015
Price: 750 RP

Although this skin no longer has those amazing Wolverine claws like it did in the old days, it’s still a pretty good pick.

The armor just looks sick. And I think that it really allows you to immerse yourself into the game if you’re going tank.

It just seems logical that someone decked out in this dark, gritty armor would be a pain in the butt to kill.

The skin doesn’t feature any new animations or anything like that.

However, I don’t think it needed any additional visual besides the base model. So I’ll give it a pass.

Plus it’s only 750 RP, which is always good to hear.

8. Big Bad Warwick

Released: April 27th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

I love cheap gag skins – and this one is a classic.

You can really tell that the design team had some fun by looking at all the little details they added to the model.

Having the gown and glasses were obvious choices. But having Warwick also wear fuzzy slippers and an oven mitt was pure genius.

I do wish they put in another reference to the fable, perhaps through the backing animation or one of the emotes. But considering how cheap this skin is, I can’t be too mad about it.

The splash art is also on a whole new level of awesome.

7. Grey Warwick

Released: July 8th, 2010
Price: Honor capsule/ 2400 RP

I always appreciate when Riot rewards honorable play, as god knows my patience was tempted every step along the way.

And Grey Warwick was honestly worth all the swallowed insults.

Even though it’s literally called Gray Warwick, it’s actually a greenish-blue color that’s the most present, both with the in-game model and the new particle effects.

His face honestly looks like that of a bat. And that design choice (coupled with the ghostly sword that’s clearly going through his back) just makes an already terrifying character even more terrifying.

And I love it!

That’s what Warwick is all about. So try not to cry Medieval Twitch players.

6. Tundra Hunter Warwick

Released: August 15th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

I blame Game of Thrones for my lowkey obsession with direwolves, and subsequent obsession with this skin.

Yes, it’s very simple. It just turns Warwick’s fur white and adds some blue particles to further sell the icey theme.

Oh, fun fact: this skin initially had a unique W trail animation before Riot realized that was too good for a 520 RP and removed it.

But even with that being what it is, the skin is still pretty epic.

And there’s something so satisfying about running around the map and getting your white fur drenched in blood.

5. Lunar Guardian Warwick

Released: February 8th, 2018
Price: 1350 RP

The following skins are honestly so close in ranking that I swap them around every few days.

For now, I’ll throw Lunar Guardian Warwick into this spot.

It completely ditches the whole bioengineering angle and just makes you feel like a demigod ready to wreck some carnage.

It is brilliant.

The splash art looks like a AAA gaming poster, the in-game model is meticulously designed, and all of the animations are crisp and visually sound.

I especially like the fact that his E now makes him a Super Saiyan.

I can’t resist a subtle DBZ plug, so this skin will always be pretty high up on my list.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Ruby chroma just makes you look like Satan’s spawn, which is just as appealing as being a demigod.

4. Firefang Warwick

Released: March 29th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

This splash art is just truly amazing.

I know I praised the last splash art, but this one is just wow.

I can’t say that the in-game model completely delivers on the enormous hype that the splash art etched into my soul, but it was close.

Everything is about fire now. And Warwick is transformed from a bio-mutant wolf into a living volcano-esque monstrosity.

I will say that he looks more like a fox than a proper wolf, but I’m also a Kurama fanboy so I have no issues with that.

All of the abilities have been recolored so that they better fit into the fire theme here, with the W in particular making you feel like you just clawed your way out of Hell itself.

Amazing skin, fair price, compliments all around.

3. PROJECT: Warwick

PROJECT: Warwick Skin Splash

Released: August 1st, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

If you’re a Warwick main, just remember that two kidneys are optional.

Although this skin is on the pricier side, it absolutely makes up for it with some impeccable design choices.

Your recall animation uncovers that you’re actually a human inside of a wolf mech, making Warwick the first robot furry.

The model design is absolutely amazing, and all of the abilities were given the usual PROJECT treatment.

I seriously can’t stress enough just how much I love the character model here. Especially if we add Chromas into the picture.

The whole skin just makes me think of Evangelion or Code Geass – and if there’s one thing you’ve probably learned while reading this article, it’s that I love me some anime.

2. Old God Warwick

Released: August 12th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

A skin like PROJECT Warwick is cool because it takes the champion in a new direction – but a skin like Old God Warwick is even cooler because these types of skins enhance the champion fantasy that was already there.

You take one look at this champion model and you already know you’re a terrifying beast of destruction that yields some ungodly powers.

Your backing animation here just has you let out this blood-curdling howl, and all the particles and sound effects on your abilities have been tweaked to look even more ominous than before.

And the spike sticking from your back makes you feel like a shark while you sniff people down. And I have to give Riot credit for including an Emerald chroma, since you end up looking like a true monster from Zaun.

Overall, Old God Warwick is simply a fantastic skin. It updates everything that you loved about the original design & makes you love it even more.

1. Hyena Warwick

Released: December 5th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

There are a few reasons why I adore this skin.

First, I just find it very nostalgic, as this was the go-to skin when old Warwick was still around.

Second, the character model design is expertly made, making Warwick feel like a post-apocalyptic villain. Which is a theme I’ll never get tired of.

Third, it’s cheap. And I want the ability to afford food.

But above everything else, the reason this is my favorite skin, is the laugh.

Like seriously, there are few things in League of Legends that will genuinely make me have as much fun as running around the map as Hyena Warwick laughing my butt off while clawing off someone’s face.

It’s brilliant and I love it.
