The Best Yorick Skins in League of Legends (All Ranked)

Back in the old days, Yorick used to be the most infuriating top laner in existence.

He would just spam ghouls, revive ADCs, and run around you while smacking you with the shovel.

After the rework, he became a bit more badass – at the cost of his trolliness.

Plus, he looks a lot better.

And if you want to make him look even better than that, skins are the way to go.

But what skin should you get? Let’s find an answer by ranking all of Yorick’s skins, considering their costs, animations, and their overall appeal.

6. Pentakill III: Lost Chapter Yorick

Released: September 9th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

This skin was just disappointing on so many levels.

The original Pentakill Yorick skin was beloved among Yorick mains, and this skin should have been a step up from that.

But we’ve been bamboozled.

Even though the animations showed Yorick with his signature hat (and even his recall features his hat), there’s no hat in-game.

That might sound like a minor detail. But the truth is this skin feels nothing like a Pentakill skin.

Sure, the E has a guitar sound effect, and the Maiden also plays some good music when summoned. But that’s about it.

This skin just feels like two different concepts that got smashed together, and is therefore not really worth the high price tag it’s sporting.

Maybe this chapter of Yorick should have stayed lost.

5. Undertaker Yorick

Released: June 21st, 2011
Price: 520 RP

Undertaker Yorick is just an okay skin.

It won’t really blow your socks off, but it also won’t make you as irritated as the last entry.

It’s the cheapest Yorick skin on the market as of this writing, and the changes it makes are substantial enough to be worth a purchase.

For the most part, it’s just a character model redesign, with Yorick putting on his best horror movie mask and suit and becoming the undertaker.

I’ll say that he looks slightly different than what you would expect based on his splash art, and this is mostly because he’s way more purple than they made him out to be.

Nothing too major, but still worth mentioning.

The splash art itself is pretty cool though.

Overall, a solid budget pick.

4. Arclight Yorick

Released: October 2nd, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

This skin really emphasizes the Maiden part of his backstory, and it honestly works way better than one would expect.

You see her face on the shield on his back, signifying that she’s very close to him. You then see her face on the W wall and realize she’s tightly-knit with his power.

And then you finally click R, the music changes, and the Maiden herself comes out to play.

I really enjoy her design too – as she looks like a ghost operating some mech arms, which is a recipe for awesomeness.

The character model is also very well-made here, giving off a strong god or demigod vibe. And his new weapon seems a lot more threatening than a shovel.

Arclight Yorick is a great skin that’s honestly interchangeable with the other skins I’ve ranked above it.

Comes down to personal preference.

3. Pentakill Yorick

Released: June 21st, 2011
Price: 975 RP

This will always be THE Yorick skin in my heart, as I remember those 6 years where it was the only real option.

It’s medium-ranged when it comes to price, but it still makes some really decent changes.

First off, he’s wearing a top hat. That’s already like a million points in my book.

He’s also wielding a guitar that has a special sound effect when you auto attack or hit someone with a Q.

The only other major change when it comes to the gameplay is that the Maiden has been recolored to look slightly more rock and roll.

This skin honestly looks amazing, and is also rather affordable, only being held back by the fact that the other top skins have fleshed out their themes much more.

2. Resistance Yorick

Released: November 12th, 2020
Price: 1350 RP

When it comes to the character model here, I can honestly take it or leave it.

He does look pretty cool – but not nearly as cool as Arclight or Pentakill. It’s just a bit forgettable to be honest.

However, the animations are some of the best I have seen in League of Legends.

Every ability has been given a makeover, or should I say mech-over, and it’s a joy to watch.

The ghouls being tiny robots and the W wall being comprised of machines is all well and good. But it’s the Maiden that really steals the show.

I mean, just look at some gameplay – it’s absolutely badass!

And even his recall now features Yorick firing away on a machine gun of some sort.

This skin’s base model design keeps it from being number one, but the animations truly make a good case for it deserving the top spot.

1. Meowrick

Released: March 27th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

Joke skins are hardly ever my favorites – but this one is special.

I have no idea how anyone looked at Yorick and thought “he needs some kittens”.

But I’m glad that they did.

Having Yorick rock a pink onesie and matching kitty cap was already pretty brilliant. But then you get into the ability animations and it gets a whole lot better.

Your ghouls are now just small yellow kittens, your W an impenetrable wall of meow, and your ult a giant white cat with some sloth arms.

Not to mention that there’s as much meowing as you would imagine with this type of skin.

Her E and his grave passive are also now rainbows.

So why is Meowrick the best skin?

Aside from just being genuinely hilarious, this is the best in my eyes because it brings back that feeling of old Yorick.

Nothing is more dehumanizing than getting beat up by a group of cats.
