Diamonds. It’s the Minecraftian dream.
We want diamond everything.
Diamond swords, diamond pickaxes, diamond armor, diamond blocks. Even diamond hoes.
And we’ve listed some of the coolest diamond mods for your next Minecraft session, to have you gleefully indulging in your unbridled materialism.
6. Finder Compass
Supported Versions: 1.14, 1.16
Have you ever been so frustrated trying to find diamonds that you just wish you had a compass that showed you exactly where they are?
Lucky for you, that’s exactly what Finder Compass adds!
Maybe you’re not materialistic and don’t care about diamonds.
Maybe you’re enlightened.
Or maybe you just want to kill monsters.
This special compass will also lead you towards other things, like strongholds and mob spawners.
5. Extra Diamonds Mod
Supported Versions: 1.6-1.8
Real life diamonds come in a massive variety of colors.
In Minecraft though? They’re all blue.
I mean c’mon, we need better diamond representation.
And the Extra Diamonds Mod adds diamonds of more colors.
With these diamonds, new tools and weapons can be crafted. And each color has its own abilities!
4. Extended Diamond
Supported Versions: 1.14-1.16
Living in poverty might be hard. But it’s also hard having so many diamonds that you just don’t know what to do with them.
Seriously, what do I do?
My girlfriend’s mad at me because I gave her so many diamond rings that her hands look like Thanos.
And if there’s one thing we know about people with hands like Thanos, it’s that you do not want to piss them off.
The Extended Diamond mod adds new diamond tools into the game. Like the “diamond shovepick”.
Thank you, mod creator, for saving the universe from a terrible snap.
3. Scenter Mod
Supported Versions: 1.8-1.13
Who needs dogs when you have the Scenter Mod?
This gives you a very powerful nose (in Minecraft).
Your nose will be so powerful that you can sniff out all the ores, including diamonds.
That’s a smell more expensive than the most luxurious perfumes!
2. Bedwars Item Generator
Supported Versions: 1.12, 1.16-1.18
Here’s a mod that adds a block that generates bedwars items.
You might be wondering “okay, but what are bedwars items?”
Valuable gems, that’s what.
If you’ve ever played the popular Minecraft mini-game bedwars, you know what I’m talking about.
You can configure the mod so that there are generators for any block you want.
By default though, there are generators for iron, gold, obsidian, and… hmm. I think I’m forgetting one.
1. Diamond Meter Mod
Supported Versions: 1.5-1.6
Have you ever played “hot and cold?”
If you haven’t, it’s a game where there’s a seeker and there’s a hider. The seeker looks for an item that the hider hid, and the hider describes how close the seeker is to the item using temperature.
Hotter if close and colder if far.
This mod is pretty similar to that.
An item called a “diamond meter” changes color depending on how close you are to diamonds.
Sure, it requires quite a few diamonds to make… but think long-term!
It’s a cold world out there. But only because you’re not near any diamonds.
Get this mod and make your world a little warmer…warmer…burning hot! Burning hot!
