Ingredients allow you to cook Dishes and Feasts which can increase your Combat Power for a limited time.

Cooking and eating food is one of the very few ways of increasing your Combat Power in the game — albeit temporarily.

In this guide I’ve organized a list of every ingredient in the game and where to farm them.

Where To Find Ingredients

World Map

Currently, there are four consistent sources of ingredients in the game. They are as follows:

  • World Map Monsters
  • Kingdom Quest Rewards
  • Travelling Merchant
  • Familiar Forest (Fruits & Veggies Only)

Source #1: World Map Monsters (Recommended)

The best way to get Ingredients is by farming them from monsters on the World Map.

To know which monsters drop certain types of food, you can start by clicking the Minimap highlighted in the upper-right part of the image below:

Main Screen > Minimap / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds”><figcaption class=Main Screen > Minimap

You’ll then be redirected to the Map Page where you’ll see the World Map button. Click on it to reveal the World Map.

After the World Map is revealed, choose a zone that matches your level range (preferably around 3 levels within your own).

After choosing a zone, you’ll be presented with the list of Portals first.

To reveal the list of monsters in that zone instead, click on the icon highlighted in the image below:

Before you browse through the Monsters List, make sure that the See Drop Info checkbox is ticked:

And voila — you can now browse through the drop list to see which monsters drop the Ingredients you’d like to farm!

Creeper (Drop Items: Meat, Fruits & Veggies, and Grain) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds
Creeper (Drop Items: Meat, Fruits & Veggies, and Grain)

As you can see from the image above, the monster I’ve selected drops Meat, Fruits & Veggies, and Grain.

Unless you only want to farm a specific ingredient, I recommend finding monsters like this that drop more than one of them.

Source #2: Kingdom Quest Rewards

Kingdom Quests allow you to farm all sorts of resources and materials. This includes Food Ingredient Pouches.

Food Ingredient Pouches give you random Ingredients when opened.

You can refresh Kingdom Quests for 7,500 Gold as many times as you want, so feel free to look for these pouches whenever you’re short on ingredients!

Source #3: Traveling Merchant

Traveling Shop (Items – Grain x3)

The Traveling Merchant (a.k.a. Muse) sells random Ingredients whenever she spawns.

Like most items in her shop, the purchase of Ingredients is limited — oftentimes only up to three per account.

She’s also a time-limited spawn who’ll pop up in random zones in the World Map, not to mention in different time frames.

If you want to buy her goods, make sure to check the in-game announcements often.

Source #4: Familiar Forest (Fruits & Veggies Only)

Lastly, we have the Familiar Forest where you can only farm Fruits and Veggies.

They have a chance to drop whenever you harvest crops like tomatoes and corn — or whenever you kick an apple tree.

If you’re consistent with your farming, then you might not need to worry about farming Fruits and Veggies from other sources ever again!
