Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Destroyer Build (Equipment, Familiars & Skills)

Destroyers are best built as either pure tank characters equipped with HP and DEF-boosting spells or as DPS/tank hybrids with both offense and defense-oriented skills.

Their main role is soaking up as much damage as they can — all while dealing additional damage to bosses or enemy players in PVP.

In this guide, I’m going to show you my recommended Equipment, Familiar, and Spell Builds for Destroyers.

Recommended Equipment for Destroyers

All Rare 4★ Equipment pieces are viable for Destroyers if you can Awaken them enough.

Most of them give way better stats and Extra Awakening Effects than normal 4★ Equipment. This makes them a better choice overall, especially for heavy spenders.

For F2P players and light spenders, however, it might be prudent to invest in normal 4★ Equipment instead.

A Destroyer’s bread and butter is their toughness and substantial AOE DPS output. Here’s a list of all the equipment that’ll help them improve in their role:

Recommended Familiars for Destroyers

Just like how it is for Equipment, all Rare 4★ Familiars are also viable for Destroyers.

This is because each Rare 4★ Familiar has all sorts of active and passive skills that are very useful not only for Destroyers — but for all other classes as well.

Considering how hard it is to get Rare 4★ Familiars, however, the safer alternative is to simply invest in normal 4★ Familiars.

As a general guideline for Destroyers, partnering up with Defense-type Familiars is recommended for added DEF and overall survivability.

You may also consider picking Attacker-type or even Support-type Familiars instead depending on the situation, but generally, Defense-type Familiars pair really well with Destroyers.

Recommended Skills for Destroyers

For Special Active Skills, picking up close-range AOE Attack-type Skills with Crowd Control effects and buff skills that boost survivability is highly advisable for Destroyers.

Choosing Special Passive Skills for Destroyers is very straightforward.

All you need to do is get the passives that boost your survivability one way or the other, as it’ll allow you to tank more hits during battle.

If you’re a Destroyer, your main priority should be raising your Health or DEF by any means necessary.

Here are some of the most useful passive skills that you should be prioritizing if you want to be a brilliant tank:

By combining any three of the passive skills listed above, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a fantastic Destroyer.
