While this may seem fun and all, there are certain disadvantages to PKing like PK Debuffs — not to mention you’ll also be vulnerable to other players if you PK too much.
In this guide we’ll explain how to access the PK System, how to use its features, its advantages and disadvantages, and the Shop items related to it.
How To Access The PK System
To gain access to the PK System from your Main Screen, simply click on the icon in the top-left corner of the screen (highlighted below):
After doing so, you’ll then be presented with the PK System Page which is divided into three main parts:
- Alignments
- Targeting Options
- PK Availability & PK Score
Alignments
Your Alignment determines your behavior and attack patterns when PKing.
To activate them, simply click on the corresponding alignment you want your character to have.
Here are all four available Alignments and what you can do once they’ve been activated:
Alignments | Effects |
---|---|
Peaceful | Makes you unable to attack other players. |
Neutral | Allows you to attack other players who attack you. |
Vigilante | Allows you to attack other players who are defenseless or have a Chaotic Alignment except for your allies. |
Hostile | Allows you to attack all players except for your allies. |
TIP: Setting your Alignment to Peaceful doesn’t protect you from being attacked by other PKers. Instead, always set your Alignment to Neutral just in case you encounter one!
Targeting Options
There are three targeting options on the PK System page that’ll help you specify which targets you’d like to prioritize first — regardless of your Alignment.
To activate them, simply click on the corresponding target you’d like your character to focus on.
Here are all three available Targeting Options:
Targeting Option | Effects |
---|---|
Focus Monster | Allows you to prioritize targeting monsters when in combat. |
Focus Players | Allows you to prioritize targeting players when in combat. |
Players Only | Makes you unable to target anything but players when in combat. |
TIP: The best combination of Alignment & Targeting Option when you’re AFK Farming is: Neutral & Focus Players.
This setting will allow you to farm monsters primarily, but also fight back immediately when you’re attacked while AFK.
PK Availability & PK Score
PK Availability tells you whether or not the zone you’re in is a PVP zone — meaning a place where you can attack or be attacked by other players.
PK Score is the measure of how many monsters you’ve killed compared to the number of actual players you’ve killed.
Your PK Score also determines which PK Buffs you’re currently getting. Don’t forget to check it often!
The Wanted System
The Wanted System allows you to find players that have killed many other players, and that also have a very low PK Score.
Be careful though, as you can also find yourself being listed here and hunted down if you overuse the PK System too much!
PK Buffs
Your PK Buffs are the main reason why keeping your PK Score high is very important.
With a high PK Score, you can take advantage of several buffs that increase your overall strength.
But having a low PK score inflicts your character with several debuffs.
To know which buffs and debuffs you can get depending on your PK Score, simply refer to the following images below:
TIP: Have you killed too many players and are now suffering the consequences of having a low PK Score?
Worry not, because you can simply grind your PK Score back up by simply killing Monsters and using Letters of Repentance which you can buy from the Shop!
PK-Related Items
There are two noteworthy items in the Honor Medal Exchange Shop if you like to PK from time to time:
- Shield of Peace
- Letter of Repentance
A Shield of Peace grants you immunity from being PKed for 15 minutes. It costs 15 Honor Medals and you can only buy them 10 times per week.
This shield is especially useful for PK-heavy zones if you’d like to take a break or if you’d like to just farm monsters in peace.
A Letter of Repentance allows you to add 10,000 points to your PK Score. It costs 50 Honor Medals and you can only buy them 10 times per day.
It’s very useful for players who don’t want to grind their PK Score back up by simply farming tons upon tons of monsters.
Arguably, this item is also indispensable for players who’ve gone too far beyond the Chaotic Alignment and have accumulated severe debuffs from excess PKing.
