Treant Statue Guide (Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Kingdom Dungeon Boss)

The Treant Statue is the first Dungeon Boss that all Kingdoms unlock.

This earth-element monster has several dangerous AoE attacks and the ability to summon mobs that can stun you and set you up for an insta-kill.

The two best ways to deal with this Dungeon Boss are to either bombard it with fire-element attacks from afar if your character is ranged, or you could hit it from behind if you’re using a melee character.

Note: Non-Kingdom members cannot earn Prize Chests or Specialties upon completion.

Combat Tips For Treant Statue

Here are all the tips that you should follow if you want to improve your performance against Treant Statue — the earth-element Kingdom Dungeon Boss.

Tip #1: Use The Recommended Element (Fire)

Mite (Fire-type Familiar) / Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Mite (Fire-type Familiar)

The most obvious (yet most effective) way to increase your damage output is to set fire-element equipment, skills, and Familiars before battling the Treant Statue.

Fire-element equipment or Familiars will almost always outperform others depending on how much resources you’ve invested in them.

As for Familiars, you can just equip one fire-type Familiar and equip the first and second strongest Familiars in your team.

Just make sure that it is your fire-type Familiar that is always active and attacking the Treant Statue.

Tip #2: Watch Your Positioning

Treant Statue (Combat) / Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Treant Statue (Combat)

The best position for Rogues and Engineers is in the back of the Treant Statue and far away from it. This will allow them to dodge its AoE attacks easily.

For Swordsmen, Destroyers, and Witches, the best place to attack is also in the back of the Treant Statue. This will mitigate the amount of melee damage they receive from the boss.

As for Aggro-takers (the highest scoring player that the boss most often targets), make sure to keep the boss facing away from your other teammates. Dodge whatever frontal attacks you can.

Tip #3: Avoid Telegraphed Attacks

Treant Statue (Combat - AoE Attack) / Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Treant Statue (Combat – AoE Attack)

The Treant Statue has several telegraphed AoE Attacks that are completely avoidable, but only if you’re paying attention and dodging constantly.

This is exactly why I advise that you don’t AFK while battling the boss — even if you have your Auto Mode turned on.

It’s not just out of respect for your fellow players, but also due to the fact that while most of the Treant Statue’s AoE attacks are slow, they can absolutely kill you in one shot when they hit!

Tip #4: Avoid The Swamp Monsters

Swamp Monsters (Highlighted) / Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
Swamp Monsters (Highlighted)

Swamp Monsters are summoned by the Treant Statue whenever its HP reaches a certain threshold.

Their damage isn’t really that high, but you still have to be extra careful around them simply because they can stun-lock your character.

Once you’re stunned by one of these suckers, you might not be able to dodge the boss’s upcoming telegraphed attacks. Be warned!
