Your player will only randomly stop fishing if the fishing spot moves. Fishing spots in OSRS are not static, and will only remain is a particular area for a certain period of time before moving elsewhere.
When these moves happen, your character will stop fishing.
If you want to keep fishing consistently, pay attention to where the spot has moved to and you’ll be fine!
There are actually a couple of static fishing spots in OSRS, such as the Dark Crab fishing spot in the Wilderness resource area.
But you run the risk of getting Pk’ed while fishing here.
So it can be better to play it safe and keep in mind that some fishing in RuneScape won’t be fully AFK.
