How To Get The Super Rod in Pokémon HGSS

You can get the Super Rod simply by talking to the Silence Bridge Fishing Guru in his house on Route 12, located south of Lavender Town.

Of course, this does mean that you’ll need to have beaten Johto’s Elite Four and explored some of Kanto first. But once you’ve done that, getting a Super Rod couldn’t be easier.

The Super Rod will allow you to catch rarer, higher-level Pokémon while fishing than the Old Rod or Good Rod.

Here’s a step-by-step guide of where you need to go:

First, fly to Lavender Town and take the south exit from town. This leads onto the boardwalks of Route 12.

Carry on going south down the boardwalks. If you haven’t explored this area before, there will be plenty of trainers to battle as you go.

Keep going until south you get to this house.
