I never have known for sure, and the category in CAS doesn’t tell you much either. Overall, it seems to simply be a term for any feminine top, usually with a collar or buttons, that won’t fit into a more generalized group like “t-shirt” or “sweater”.
That’s actually what makes blouses so lovely.
The styles they offer are totally different from regular old shirts or sweaters, and vary widely.
You have ones with bows, some with ruffles, many with sleeves, and many without. Some are meant to be tucked, some tied.
But no matter what, they look good.
That may not always be the case in real life, but it is for your Sims. And this list of CC is meant to help your Sim jazz up their wardrobe. So if it’s custom blouses you want, that is what you shall get!
Victoria Blouse
I think every Sims player can agree: we just need more swatches.
Even the most awesome top or piece of furniture won’t ever get used if you don’t like the color.
This blouse from the Get Together pack really is a beauty, with a collar, pretty bow, and tucked style.
But you know what would make it even better?
A ton of new swatches!
This CC creator, Simsadilly, has basically made this blouse reborn thanks to her new palette. These colors offer a fresh new look, and each one has an option of the bow being white or black.
Stephanie Shirt
Simply put, this top is just really cute.
It features a collar with buttons and matching cuffs.
All around, it’s a very classy look. Your Sim can rock this whenever they’re feeling like getting a little more dressed up, yet it’s still casual.
It’s got a tucked design, which we all know can make all of the difference in the world. So make sure to keep that in mind when selecting pants or a skirt – this is one top that won’t look quite right as a crop top!
J.A. Tied Blouse
As everybody knows, tying a knot in your blouse is one quick way to spice your outfit up.
No, really! For when you don’t want to tuck it in or let it flow free, or maybe it’s an old top, creating a knot definitely adds a more chic look.
It’s gotten so popular that many shirts come pre-knotted.
I think that’s the idea with this Ja Tied Blouse CC from Pleyita.
This blouse is sleeveless, unbuttoned fairly low, and knotted just below the waist. Any Sim will look beautiful (or handsome – that’s a swatch for guys!) in this innovative redesign of the top from Jungle Adventure.
Ahh, so that’s what the J.A. is for!
Inis Blouse
Here we have a sort of sweater + blouse combo.
Layering is always fun and tends to spur some creative new looks out of a tired wardrobe.
But it’s hard to do that in The Sims.
Luckily, this stylish top is a singular piece. It features a buttoned up blouse with ruffled cuffs and a collar beneath a cozy v-neck sweater.
Every part just looks perfect, from the ruffles themselves to the subtle wrinkling of the sweater. Altogether it has a very natural appearance, and any Sim will look great wearing it.
Caelia Blouse
This long shirt-style blouse is a great choice for those laidback Sims who like to keep things casual.
I seem to recall there being a shirt of similar length in the game, maybe meant to be a pajama outfit. Isn’t it strange how you can have hundreds of hours in a game and not be sure of something like that?
Well, anyway… the shirt I’m thinking of is a full-body outfit with no option to wear pants. And I always thought it was silly to not at least have the option.
But this blouse from Renorasims fixes that problem right up!
Not only is it a top with a separate option to be full-body, but the swatches are lovely. There are solids as well as stripes, in a variety of nice colors.
Spring Blouse
Depending on where you live, it may or may not be spring right now.
But every season comes a little bit quicker to our Sims anyways.
Spring might just be my favorite real-life season. Everything is blooming and pretty and fresh.
Those same themes are reflected here in this blouse.
The low-cut yet long sleeve design makes perfect sense for the time of year when you never know when it might be chilly, warm, or raining, or all three might happen in a single day.
And then there are the swatches, oh how I love them! There are four floral designs plus five solids.
Eunwoo Blouse
I’m not sure what it is about puffy sleeves that I love so much, but man, they sure are nice.
This Eunwoo Blouse CC from Casteru is pretty simple.
It has a slight v-neck design, three buttons, and of course, puffy sleeves.
This is one of those tops that your Sim will be able to wear year-round, and works with basically any bottom you want.
Jeans, skirts, high-waisted shorts… anything goes here.
There are 36 swatches here covering every color of the rainbow in many different shades.
Weekend Top
This fun blouse includes some of the best things, like rolled sleeves, a knotted waist, and a button up design.
It’s another one that will honestly look fantastic with so many things.
I always wind up with a select few items as my CAS go-tos, and this is definitely one of them!
There are 50 swatches in total, with both solid colors as well as plenty of designs.
I mean, just look at that cactus pattern. Who wouldn’t love that?!
Belle Blouse
Whenever I see the name Belle, I can’t help but think of the one from Beauty and the Beast.
I’m sure there are some girls out there named Belle who really resent that, but I digress.
It’s a very fitting name for this blouse, since it has the same beauty and elegance as the Disney Princess herself.
And your Sim will look very classy in any of the Belle Blouse’s 18 swatches.
The puff sleeves, high collar with ribbons, and buttoned front really make for a top with a vintage vibe, yet it’ll very much fit into a modern wardrobe.
Nola Blouse
See, this is the top of tops that’s undeniably, 100% a blouse.
It’s way too pretty to be written off as a t-shirt, and it doesn’t have quite the right design either.
Only a blouse can be as feminine and pretty as this CC!
It has a v-neck, slightly puffy sleeves that go just past the elbows, and a partially ridged affect the bottom.
Aside from all that, it also is somewhat cropped in length. So either pair it with high-waisted bottoms, or get ready for lots of midriff action.
And with 45 swatches in total, your Sim can wear this year round. There are plenty of solid colors and designs fitting for any season.
Victory Blouse
Everything about this blouse is small and dainty, from the buttons to the sleeves.
It’s a sophisticated design, great for any Sim that you feel is deserving of a very classy top.
There are actually two blouses here, which are the same except for the collar.
It’s up to you whether you want solid colors or white.
But the rest of it remains the same, flawless and pretty. You’ll get 45 swatches of neutral solid colors, including everything from pinks, browns, and blues to green, yellow, and default colors like white or black.
Harley Blouse
Boho vibes abound with this stylish blouse from weepingsimmer.
I don’t know if that’s what she had in mind when she made it, but hey, a flare-sleeved top with a slightly ruffled bottom is bound to end up on a hippie Sim!
And I just love that look, so it’s possible I’m a bit biased.
Color choices also have a lot to do with fashion, and there are enough of them here that this will honestly work for any Sim, for any style.
Could be a great everyday top for any adult, and is available in 55 swatches.
Florence Blouse
You know what we don’t have enough of for our Sims?
Sheer clothing.
I imagine that’s because it’s very hard to create, as this Simmer would agree. But the results sure are amazing!
The lower portion here is sheer, while the top has a knit-like texture. This blouse has a very unique appearance through and through.
And as if pink isn’t pretty enough, there are 25 swatches total, including some patterns.
Coral Blouse
You know what kicks any top up a notch?
Add some ruffles and rip off the sleeves!
Note: your results may vary if you aren’t experienced with this sort of DIY-ing.
Luckily, that’s not how it works in The Sims. You just have to download the beautiful creations someone else has already made, and this Coral Blouse CC is definitely among them.
It’s always amazing to me how things that are so simple in theory are actually so great in an outfit.
My description wouldn’t exactly paint a pretty picture, but this sleeveless, ruffled, buttoned blouse is truly one of a kind.
The creator even utilized a mesh from The Sims 2, which is pretty genius.
There’s no faster way to make a fresh look in The Sims 4 than to use “spare parts” from previous games.
Je T’aime Blouse
This creator made this blouse with vintage styles in mind, and it definitely shows.
The heart buttons are adorable accents, and the white collar is so timeless. I’m pretty sure there’s a name for it, I just don’t know it!
A white collar always offsets the rest of a top so well.
As you may have noticed, when it comes to CAS CC, Simmers excel at making tons of swatches. It allows you a kind of customization you otherwise wouldn’t have, making it so you can add more personal tastes to your Sim’s outfits.
This blouse comes with 41 swatches, most of them being awesome patterns and florals.
