Hospitals are a part of life. Most people are born into them, and many end their journey there as well.
Sims, on the other hand? Not so much.
Even with the Get To Work pack, your gameplay is going to be limited.
But there’s no shortage of medical custom content to make things as real as you want!
1. Hospital Bed and Blanket
More than anything else, you will definitely want to have the right bed if you plan on building a hospital, or just need one as a set for storytelling purposes.
Fortunately, there’s no need to look any further! MelonSloth’s simple base-game compatible bed looks great – and it’s up to you whether you want to add the blanket or not.
2. Deco Hospital Sim
Unless you’re going for an apocalyptic thing, you don’t want your Sims to be the only ones in the hospital. That’s a very “pilot episode of The Walking Dead” vibe.
These decorative Sims are the perfect way to bring the hospital to life. You place doctors, nurses, and even patients wherever you please!
3. Clarissa Medical Gown
If your Sim is a patient, they’ll need the proper attire.
This base game compatible gown is a great Maxis Match option.
There are some swatches with fun patterns, but also your standard, sterile, solid-colored gowns as well.
4. Bed Feeding Table
We’ve all seen those wheeled tables that conveniently swing right over the patient’s bed. It’s too bad they don’t make those for home use… it would make playing The Sims 4 from bed a lot more convenient!
But for now, we can vicariously live through our Sims with this deco table.
5. Supplies Party Clutter Set
Custodians are a pretty important part of any facility.
Hospitals couldn’t be squeaky clean without them!
This clutter set will add some realism to your build. Just place these cleaning supplies in a stairwell or closet, and place the Simlish “slippery floor” warning sign in the halls.
6. Medical Clutter, Posters, and Objects
Here’s one of the most comprehensive hospital-themed sets you’ll find.
Not only is there an assortment of deco items like scales and medical instruments, but more than a dozen informative posters, and even a couple of high-tech gadgets for doctors.
7. Willow Creek Hospital Maxis Makeover
Building your own hospital from the ground up is quite an ambitious task to take on.
If you just want to get right down to it, simply download a lot made by another Simmer!
This hospital for Willow Creek is a nice size, and very colorful. Only four packs and two custom items are needed.
8. Recovery Poses
Hospitals see plenty of tragedy and grief, there’s no doubt about it.
But sometimes, there are happy endings.
Use these cute poses with a hospital bed, so your Sim patient can have some visitors. These poses include options for adults as well as children and toddlers, and there are plenty of smiles to go around!
9. Deco Hospital Sims Revamped
Here are even more deco Sims for your particularly busy hospitals.
It’s really cool how this creator made these 25 Sims so diverse. They come from all walks of life, and are in the hospital for all sorts of reasons.
Although these Sims are only decorative, they’ll bring the hospital alive like nothing else.
10. Willow Creek Hospital (No CC)
Custom content is generally a Simmer’s favorite thing, but sometimes, a lot is just too gorgeous to pass up.
This is a large, modern lot option for Willow Creek. It’s got everything your Sims could need, including staff rooms, waiting areas, and patient rooms.
The décor is also very professional and welcoming.
11. Medication Clutter
Sims are almost entirely exempt from medical problems unless you have Get To Work, until they randomly croak from laughing too hard or something.
Well, that’s no fun! These decorative meds will look great in your game, and add a much needed sense of realism.
There’s even a mod to make them functional, if you want your Sims to really suffer.
12. Deco Medical Computer
These are all over the place in a hospital.
Thankfully, this creator separated this computer from the Get To Work treadmill, so it’s now BGC.
This will make any build feel more professional, especially when used with the other deco items we’ve seen so far.
13. Health & Medical Administration Career Mod
Your Sim doesn’t just have to be a doctor or nurse if they want to work in healthcare. There are plenty of roles to choose from, and this mod covers many of them.
They can be a receptionist, staff or administrative assistant, insurance writer, and much more.
14. Willow Creek Trauma Center (Get To Work Required)
This is one massive build, and the creator made it with real hospitals in mind.
Once it’s placed in your game, you will find it is quite unique. OrangePlumbob used quite a bit of custom content, so it’s truly one of a kind!
15. Riverside Medical Hospital
The brick exterior and white trim of the Riverside Medical Hospital give it such a classic look, and the inside reflects that as well.
I don’t know why green always seems like such a popular color in the medical field, but it just works.
This build really seems so bright and open, which is just what a modern medical center needs.
16. Face Bandages
Even after a brutal fist fight, Sims always come out looking just fine.
But if they’re a patient, you’ll probably want them to look a little banged up. These simple bandages, found in the glasses category of CAS, will definitely bring that effect.
17. Common Cold Clutter
No matter where your Sim is weathering cold and flu season, it’s the little things that will really make your game feel realistic.
This clutter pack includes all sorts of fitting items like used tissues and medicine.
Okay, there are clean tissues too, but the crumpled pile of them is such a nice touch.
18. Ultimate Nursing Career
ItsKatato’s incredible mod allows your Sims to choose the noble career of nursing, even if you only have the base game.
The different specialty branches include many of the real hospital roles that change lives every day, like ER nurse, neonatal nurse, and pediatric nurse, just to name a few. With so many different levels and titles to rise through, your Sim will definitely be busy.
19. Med School Scrubs (Cats & Dogs Required)
If you want your Sim to work in a hospital, then they’ll need to look the part.
These revamped vet scrubs from the Cats & Dogs pack work just as well for human caregivers.
Male and female Sims alike can wear them, and they come in 9 colorful swatches.
20. Simlish Hospital Posters
Here’s some more informative posters for your walls, filled with anatomy and various Simlish educational messages.
These will look right at home in any doctor’s office or waiting room. There’s never a bad time to learn something new.
There’s also a separate radioactive sign, which actually would work well for a radiology wing!
