The Best Sims 4 Maxis Match Clutter (All Rooms)

No matter how good your furniture placement is or how incredible the architecture is, it’ll never look “real” until it has some clutter.
I guess that just goes to show you how similar humans and magpies are!
Even if you’re not a fan of useless shiny trinkets (and I take personal offense to that), you’ll still end up needing clutter packs to represent functional items that every building needs. Books in a library, candles and torches in a medieval build, and medicine in a doctor’s office are all necessary additions.
Now that you’re sold on how important clutter is, this list can help you actually find some of it – all with a Maxis-match aesthetic.
1. Cute Clutter Set
This cute clutter pack is more than just cute; it’s helpful, too!
Creating a sims bakery can be a lot more trouble than it’s worth, and it always ends up needing CC.
This pack will supply you with everything from cutesy donut displays to a basket full of baguettes.
And the adorable goodness doesn’t stop at bakery stuff.
There are plenty of little trinkets and crafts supplies to put in your sim’s home, too, which makes this cutesy CC pack a great choice to fill out both shop and home.
2. Laundry Day Stuff (Clutter)
Laundry needs to be done.
It’s just a simple fact of life.
In the Sims 4, though, being able to do the laundry well is a luxury only awarded to those with the Laundry Day game pack.
But even if you have the pack, your decorating skills will still be handicapped by the fact that some items are bundled together.
This CC is a simple edit to the clutter in the Laundry Day pack, allowing you to move and place each item individually. It’s a small change, but it makes a world of difference when designing a room!
3. A Colorful Couple of Books
Once I download a clutter pack for books, suddenly there are books in every single build I make.
They’re just so universally useful that I can’t keep my hands off of them.
Every house needs some books. And this clutter pack will be able to keep up with the demand.
Trust me, I would know.
There are 69 combinations of book colors (I’m not sure if the number was intentional, but I’d like to think so). But you can match these books to your color scheme of choice pretty easily.
And aside from those bright colors, they’re just plain ol’ simple books that are sure to blend in no matter where you put them.
4. Baby Food
EA really dropped the ball when it comes to babies in Sims 4.
And though there are some furniture options in the base game, it’s a given that you’ll have to turn to CC eventually.
Thankfully, there are so many different thematic options for baby clutter that you’ll never have to search for long.
This baby food set gives you not only the actual baby food, but some whimsical kids’ plates to go with.
You even have a bunch of swatches (usually around 8-9) for each item!
5. Goodnight Baby Clutter
For the other baby clutter on this list, I thought that some bedtime clutter was in order.
After all, food and sleep are the two most important parts of a newborn’s growth.
Getting your newborn (or even toddler) to sleep can be a serious trial. And it’s worth downloading some extra CC for that – even if EA doesn’t do a great job of including that part of the baby experience.
This pack will help you successfully settle your baby into a bedtime routine with a baby bottle heater, baby lotion, and a stack of soft diapers.
6. Set of Mirrors III Boho
Mirrors are a surprisingly overlooked type of clutter in The Sims. And I can understand why.
They’re kind of invisible, and it’s easy to forget all about them when you’re only decorating for your sims.
In the real world, mirrors are as functional as they are decorative.
Imagine how useful it is having a mirror at a vanity table, in the bathroom, and a full-body mirror in your bedroom.
Well these Boho mirrors are exactly like the kind you would find scattered around a real home. And they’ll look just as good in your next sim build.
7. Snacks Clutter
Clutter packs often result in adding all manner of useless odds and ends to your sims build.
This CC is different.
I cannot say, in good faith, that these delicious snacks are useless.
Every sim household needs at least a couple bags tucked away somewhere, even if they aren’t real edibles. Just looking at them is enough.
Any gamers in the sim family will be happy to leave a few bags lying around their room or in the living room.
8. Autumn/Spooky Themed Clutter
No matter what time of year it is, it’s always time for spooky season.
This clutter pack is Autumn perfection and will make your sim house shine come Simblreen. But don’t be afraid to decorate a little outside the box and use these items year-round!
After all, no vampire family needs to take down the bat decorations once October is over.
And I’m sure a goth sim would love a couple black skull planters in their room. These decorations aren’t a phase, mom.
There are 9 pieces of clutter in total, which is just enough without being a CC overload.
9. Vera Plant Set
Potted plants are always in high demand.
And that’s especially true for nature-loving sims. They’re the perfect excuse to bring the outdoors inside.
These plants go beyond your typical miniature bonsais and clay pots.
CC creator Nicole made this clutter pack with all manner of different plant types and pot options, including a literal cooking pot.
The sizes of each item vary a lot too, so you can fill every nook and cranny with greenery if you’re so inclined.
There are 7 items total, and each mesh has between 1-3 swatches.
10. Kitchen Jars Collection
There are some things that every kitchen needs.
A well-stocked pantry with rice, bread, flour, and sugar is one of them. And for many, coffee and tea are must-haves.
For me, cookies have a permanent immovable place in my kitchen.
This clutter pack will supply your sims with all of the jars they’ll need to keep their kitchen in tip-top shape.
There are 4 different versions of the set, with each type having 18-35 swatches each.
And they’re even labeled for your convenience!
11. Star Coffee Set
I’m convinced that there’s a serious overlap between Sims 4 players and Starbucks addicts.
The sheer number of Starbucks CC is evidence towards this hypothesis.
And this Star Coffee Set includes all the main Starbucks drinks and packages that you desire. It would be nearly impossible to truly have every drink in a CC pack – but if you’re the type to buy Starbucks products from the grocery store, then you’ll find what you want here.
It’s definitely easier to use this clutter pack in your sim’s home than it is to build an entire Starbucks café.
12. Mermaid Mansion
After the kitchen and the bedrooms, the bathroom is the next space most prime for cluttering.
It’s easy to end up with an entire hoard of items on your bathroom counters, made up of lotions, face wash, makeup, hair brushes, hair ties, toothpaste, and anything else that fits.
You probably don’t want that lifestyle for your sims – but they still need those important items!
This mermaid-themed clutter pack offers every little bathroom item you’d need, including shelves to put all of those goodies on.
