Daffodils are primarily found by foraging in the spring. You can also purchase them from Pierre at the flower dance on Spring 24.

Once you have at least one of these flowers, you can use daffodils to make spring seeds.

Alongside creating seeds, Daffodils also make for excellent gifts – specifically for Sandy.

These yellow beauties may not be worth a lot of gold, but they sure can make people happy!

Purchasing Daffodils

Although you cannot typically purchase daffodils, there is one special time when they show up for sale.

This is at the flower dance which takes place on spring 24.

If for any reason you just need a few daffodils, this is a convenient way to get them.

Just keep in mind that there will only be 10 in stock.

To get them you’ll wanna walk up to Pierre’s stand at the dance and they’ll be right there to purchase. Easy!

Foraging Daffodils

Typically, the best way to get lots of daffodils involves foraging in spring.

That essentially just means walking around outside your farm and picking them up whenever you see them.

This is a really convenient method, as it’s completely free. It also only takes up as much time as you’re willing to spend looking for them – although their locations are often randomized.

More often than not, you’re likely to find daffodils while you’re on your way to other areas to complete tasks, quests, or errands.

Growing Daffodils

If you have some daffodils already & you want more of them, seeds are the way to go.

All you need to do is craft up some spring seeds by combining daffodils, dandelions, leeks, and wild horseradishes.

Once you have these seeds, you can plant them in the springtime to get more of those beloved forageable goods.

Seeds are by far the best way to generate more of these items on demand.

Quests

The “Help Wanted” board outside of Pierre’s is a great way to obtain quests that will earn you money and friendship points for various characters.

Often, the items being requested on this board will earn you more gold than you would get by selling them.

One such quest includes a request for a daffodil, in which you can earn 90g for a single daffodil.

That might not seem like much… but daffodils only sell for up to 60g under normal circumstances. So let’s take what we can get!

Gifting

If you really want to make someone in Stardew happy, you’ll gift some daffodils to Sandy.

She loves them!

But here’s a list of some other characters who also like receiving daffodils as presents:

  • Caroline
  • Evelyn
  • Gus
  • Harvey
  • Kent
  • Linus
  • Pierre
  • Emily
  • George
  • Haley
  • Jas
  • Leah
  • Pam
  • Vincent

Bundles

Even if you aren’t interested in obtaining daffodils in general, you’ll need at least one to complete the community center bundles.

In the craft room there’s a spring foraging bundle.

That’s where your lone daffodil should go.

Luckily, they’re pretty easy to find – and you’ll get a nice reward for finishing the bundle.

Are Daffodils Worth Getting?

In all honesty, daffodils aren’t particularly valuable in terms of gold.

Each daffodil can earn you up to 60g, but most are going to sell for less than that.

However, they do make for lovely gifts so that’s one reason to collect them. If your goal is to make friends in Pelican Town, daffodils might actually be very valuable!
