LoL: The Best Kalista Skins, All Ranked

Like seriously, I don’t know whether I have seen this champion once in the past year.

And it’s a shame, as she does have one of the most fun mechanics for ADCs.

So what can we do to help our girl out? Well, how about rolling onto the Rift with Kalista in a nice skin? Maybe that’ll help people magically fall in love with her all over again.

4. SKT T1 Kalista

Released: August 17th, 2016
Price: 975 RP

Out of the four skins that Kalista has, this one is definitely the most unique – but not in a good way.

Let’s start with her new character model. It’s just bland as all hell.

Since the skin makes her completely human, she’s barely even recognizable. And her outfit is just another SKT T1 jersey, so nothing new there either.

But what really bugs me with this skin are the yellow spears.

Not only does her character model look absolutely ridiculous with these bright yellow sticks coming out of her back, but it also feels like a nerf in-game since they’re extremely easy to notice.

SKT T1 Kalista does come with some color palette swaps here and there, and you do get a new backing animation. But there’s honestly nothing to be hyped about in regards to this skin unless you’re an ultra E-sports fanboy, or just want to relieve the glory days when this champion was actually viable.

3. Championship Kalista

Released: September 27th, 2015
Price: 975 RP

Although Championship Kalista also isn’t particularly good, it still is a huge step up from the last one.

The character model is honestly just okay.

But the armor seems pretty detailed, and even thought the blueness of her skin makes me think of Will Smith’s genie, it makes sense thematically.

When it comes to new particles, this skin offers about what you would expect – with every ability now just being blue.

At least you get a rather decent new backing animation, a cool splash art, and an entire one chroma option.

That last one might sound ironic but only this skin & Marauder Kalista actually have chromas. So you have to take what you can get.

2. Marauder Kalista

Released: January 7th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

After five entire years, Kalista finally got this as a new skin.

And my opinions are rather mixed.

On the one hand, I do think that the skin itself looks amazing.

The character model has that undead warrior vibe that fits Kalista perfectly. And all of the new particles are rather polished and nice.

That being said, it’s a bit disappointing that Marauder Kalista uses the same exact color palette as Blood Moon Kalista, and thematically doesn’t shake the boat at all.

Plus this is her most expensive skin, even though it doesn’t really offer that much more than others.

Besides the fact that it has a voice changer and a few chromas, this doesn’t bring too much new stuff to the table.

Overall I think Marauder Kalista is pretty cool – but it’s also a bit overpriced. And I wish Riot took Kalista in a more interesting direction.

1. Blood Moon Kalista

Released: November 20th, 2014
Price: 975 RP

The odds of a champion release skin also being their absolute best skin is incredibly small.

And yet here we are.

Blood Moon Kalista simply makes Kalista better in every way possible.

The champion model design has that demonic & creepy vibe that always goes nicely with Shadow Isles champions.

The skin even includes some added spooky content, with your mask actually coming off both at the end of your recall animation and with your death animation.

Plus, red is such a good color for the whole ritualistic vibe Kalista has going for her, with your passive seeming like a real blood bond, and your spears appearing to be covered in blood.

And the fact that this skin nails every part of Kalista’s champion fantasy, while also being only 975 RP, truly cements it as the best one to get.
