All TMs & HMs in Pokémon FireRed: Rocket Edition

This guide covers every single HM and TM location in the romhack Pokémon FireRed: Rocket Edition. We’ve included a description of each location along with a screenshot of exactly where it can be found in the overworld.

The HMs and TMs are split into two separate tables below. Use the search/find feature in your browser to look for a specific move name or TM/HM number.

HM01 Cut	Not available in the game
HM02 Fly	Given to you by the scientist on the bottom-left side of the Rocket Hideout’s B1F. It’s mandatory to acquire this HM to continue with the story.
HM03 Surf	From the scientist on the bottom-left side of the Rocket Hideout’s B1F after Giovanni gives you the mission to go to Cinnabar Island. It’s mandatory to continue with the story.
HM04 Strength	From Miss Hoenn after getting her the job as a nurse at the Pewter City Pokémon Center.
HM05 Flash	Not available in the game

TM01 Focus Punch	Found on the fifth floor of Silph Co. You can find the TM in the room with yellow boxes at the bottom-left corner of the floor.
TM02 Dragon Claw	Inside Victory Road, directly North of the main entrance.
TM03 Water Pulse	Reward from Misty after defeating her in the Cerulean City Gym.
TM04 Calm Mind	Reward from Sabrina after defeating her in the Saffron City Gym.
TM05 Roar	Found on Route 4. West of Cerulean City and in between two ledges. Can also be bought from the Celadon Department Store for 1,000 Pokémon Dollars.
TM06 Toxic	Reward from Koga after defeating him in the Fuchsia City Gym.
TM07 Hail	Found in Victory Road 2F, in the North-East part of the floor under a ladder.
TM08 Bulk Up	Found on the seventh floor of Silph Co. The TM is in the room directly South of the elevator.
TM09 Bullet Seed	Found directly West of the Mt. Moon entrance leading to Route 4.
TM10 Hidden Power	Can be picked up by a Meowth with the ability “Pickup”.
TM11 Sunny Day	Found in the Safari Zone Area 2, in the patch of grass on the land that’s surrounded by water.
TM12 Taunt	Not available in the game
TM13 Ice Beam	Acquired from the Celadon City Game Corner’s Prize Room for 4,000 coins.
TM14 Blizzard	Found in the basement of the Cinnabar Mansion, just before the room with Blaine.
TM15 Hyper Beam	Bought from the Celadon City Department Store for 7,500 Pokémon Dollars.
TM16 Light Screen	Given by the little girl on the rooftop of the Celadon Department Store. You have to use the vending machine on the rooftop to get the girl some fresh water.
TM17 Protect	Found in the Power Plant. The TM is in the horizontal room full of barrels.
TM18 Rain Dance	Found on Route 18, just North of the connector leading to Fuchsia City.
TM19 Giga Drain	Given by the police officer outside of the Celadon Department Store for not having a bounty on your head. Alternatively, you can also bribe him.
TM20 Safeguard	From the little girl on the rooftop of the Celadon Department Store. You have to use the vending machine on the rooftop to get the girl some Soda Pop.
TM21 Frustration	Not available in the game
TM22 Solar Beam	Reward from Erika after defeating her in the Celadon City Gym.
TM23 Iron Tail	Acquired from the Celadon City Game Corner’s Prize Room for 3,500 coins.
TM24 Thunderbolt	Acquired from the Celadon City Game Corner’s Prize Room for 4,000 coins.
TM25 Thunder	Found in the South-East room of the Power Plant.
TM26 Earthquake	Given by the police officer outside of the Fuchsia City Safari Zone for not having a bounty on your head. Alternatively, you can also bribe him.
TM27 Return	From the Copycat NPC on the second floor of the North-Western house in Saffron City. Bring her a doll from the Celadon City Department Store, fight with her, and don’t steal any of her Pokémon to get the TM.
TM28 Dig	Bought from the Celadon City Department Store for 2,500 Pokémon Dollars. Can also be found in the Cinnabar Mansion basement, South of the room with Blaine.
TM29 Psychic	From Mr. Psychic inside the South-East house in Saffron City. This TM is a reward from the side quest you get from the Karate Master outside of the Dojo. If you reject Mr. Psychic’s offer then you won’t be able to get the TM from him.
TM30 Shadow Ball	Acquired from the Celadon City Game Corner’s Prize Room for 4,500 coins.
TM31 Brick Break	Found on the S.S. Anne. The TM is located in the second room from the left, going West of the entrance of the ship. You’ll find three NPCs inside. This TM can also be bought from the Celadon City Department Store for 3,500 Pokémon Dollars.
TM32 Double Team	Found in the Safari Zone Area 3, just outside of the secret room.
TM33 Reflect	Given by the little girl on the rooftop of the Celadon Department Store. You have to use the vending machine on the rooftop to get the girl a lemonade.
TM34 Shock Wave	Reward from Lt. Surge after defeating him in the Vermillion City Gym.
TM35 Flamethrower	Acquired from the Celadon City Game Corner’s Prize Room for 4,000 coins.
TM36 Sludge Bomb	Given by the police officer outside of the robbed house in Cerulean City for not having a bounty on your head. Alternatively, you can also bribe him.
TM37 Sandstorm	Found in Victory Road 2F, South of the horizontal raised platform.
TM38 Fire Blast	Reward from Blaine after defeating him in the Cinnabar Island Gym.
TM39 Rock Tomb	Reward from Brock after defeating him in the Pewter City Gym.
TM40 Aerial Ace	Found in the South-West corner of Route 9 under a ledge.
TM41 Torment	Found on the third floor of Silph Co. The TM is on a table in the South-West room.
TM42 Facade	Not available in the game
TM43 Secret Power	Found in the trainer-filled maze area of Route 24. Can be reached by having the picknicker NPC move forward when challenging you so you can walk through the gap. Can also be bought from the Celadon City Department Store for 3,500 Pokémon Dollars.
TM44 Rest	Found in the basement area of the S.S. Anne, inside the second room from the left.
TM45 Attract	Found on Route 24, directly North of the Nugget Bridge. Can also be bought from the Celadon City Department Store for 3,500 Pokémon Dollars.
TM46 Thief	Found in Mt. Moon B2F, in the room with a little girl.
TM47 Steel Wing	Not available in the game
TM48 Skill Swap	Found on a small island on Route 12, close to the connector leading to Lavender Town. Requires Surf.
TM49 Snatch	Not available in the game
TM50 Overheat	Found in Victory Road 3F, in the North-West part of the floor just before the ladder going downstairs.
