Top 15 Super Tall Anime Girl Characters (Listing Our Favorites)

God knows that anime loves their short waifus.

And with all of these 4 foot, 500-year-old, 10-year-old-looking bundles of love and head-pats walking around we tend to forget about the female characters that are on the other side of the spectrum.

And I will preface this with a warning: characters are way shorter than you might think.

That especially goes for female characters. In fact, I’ll list some so you have an idea of usual height for female characters: C.C. – 168 cm ( 5’6”), Zero-Two – 170 cm ( 5’7”), for God’s sake Kurenai not only tried to put Itachi under genjutsu but was 169 cm ( 5’6”) while doing it.

With all of that out of the way, let’s pay some respects to the taller female anime characters that we all know and should love.

15. Darkness

Anime: KonoSuba

Saying that Darkness is a glutton for punishment is probably selling her short.

And considering she is around 175 cm ( 5’9”) tall this is definitely not something we ought to be doing.

Being the crusader of one of the most lovable groups in anime, Darkness stands out with her large stature, angelic suit of armor, and a perversion rating so high you would think she came out of Shimoneta.

She is about the same height as Wiz but we have to give our blonde beauty some love.

14. Ayaka Kagari

Anime: Witch Craft Works

Ayaka Kagari is definitely the textbook example of tall and beautiful.

You might even call her hot, a bit over 600 degrees Celsius ( or 1112 degrees Fahrenheit ) to be more precise.

Standing at 175 cm ( 5’9”), not counting the giant pointy hat, she definitely towers over the rest of her friends.

But even without her physical height she would definitely stand out, being the most popular girl at school and a badass fire witch on top of that.

And if you’re lucky she just might cradle you in her arms while flying on a broom and burning robot rabbits to a crisp. Takamiya Honoka, you live a strange life.

But at least you have this tall, monotone witch to take care of you and call you her princess.

13. Merlin

Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins

How stunning do you have to be for Escanor, the sin of pride, to fall for you?

The same man who can’t hate his enemies because of how beneath him they are, is head over heels for this tall and dark wizard.

Standing at 177 cm ( 5’10”) she is actually shorter than one might imagine.

But hey, being in the same group as the mountain man Escanor and the pervy short king Meliodas can really throw you off.

Of course, she pales in comparison to our number three spot… or Hawk’s mother for that matter. But you can’t be the best looking and the tallest, that is just being gluttonous.

12. Alexandra Garcia

Anime: Kuroko no Basuke

Say it with me now: best coach ever.

A tall, blonde, beautiful Spanish-American basketball player with a kissing bug; a dream come true, right?

Well if you’re around her when she’s sleeping, it might be a slightly different kind of dream.

Clocking in at 180 cm ( 5’11”) and with a dormant feisty nature, she is a force to be reckoned with.

The basketball pro turned coach also molded some of our best boys in the series. So even narratively speaking, Alex stands tall.

11. Meiko Shiraki

Anime: Prison School

Now this, my friends, is what it means to be a plot driving machine!

But when we are not looking at her plots we come to find a true sadist and masochist.

By herself Meiko stands at 180 cm ( 5’11”). But with her signature high heels she comes up to around 190 cm ( 6’2”).

Now add her whip to the mix and you can see why she has such a menacing presence.

And if you still think you could take her on, just watch her arm wrestle any of the students. You are not the only one who got an arm exercise during this anime apparently.

10. Kanamori Sayaka

Anime: Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!

Although Sayaka is the farthest from the ground in her club, she seems to be the most grounded by far.

I mean she is 180 cm ( 5’11”) but seems to be the most mature of the group.

Having learned the value of money and marketing at a young age, Sayaka turned into a realistically materialistic person. Go figure.

She knows how to stand up for herself and her friends, how to bluff, win arguments, and overall be a dominant presence. Again, go figure.

The mere fact that between an enthusiastic dreamer and a literal model the audience still flock to Sayaka shows just how lovable she is.

9. Pakunoda

Anime: Hunter x Hunter

Maybe not the most notable character from Hiatus x Hiatus but still a great entry for this list.

The ideal spy and interrogator for the Phantom Troupe, Pakunoda uses her specialist type Nen to extract information from her enemies and track potential threats.

A distinguishing feature among the group is her tall and slender physique, standing at 182 cm (6’0”).

You might be wondering, what other specific features does she have? Nobody nose.

But she is extremely loyal to her group, especially Chrollo, making her a really valuable asset to the troupe. And this list.

8. Kiss-Shot

Anime: Bakemonogatari

Although the size of a toddler for most of the show we mustn’t forget her in her prime!

As then the iron-blooded, hot-blooded, cold-blooded vampire (always a mouthful) Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade stands at a whapping 182 cm ( 6’0”).

In a series with more best-girls that one can count, Kiss-Shot reigns supreme for some for her cute/dangerous personality.

She might not staple your cheek but she will perform the most extreme sword-swallowing show of your life.

Just make sure never to leave her alone. She gets…cranky if left alone.

7. Kohiruimaki Karen

Anime: Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online

It’s for people like Karen that we made this list.

Being self-conscious about her height, Karen looked towards Gun Gale Online to seek a better, shorter life.

Ok that came out wrong.

In real life Karen is 183 cm ( 6’0”) so she decided to make her online self be on the shorter end of the stick. At around 150 cm ( 4’9”).

She might be dressed in all pink, but color does little to take away from the threat of her submachine gun.

6. Isane Kotetsu

Anime: Bleach

I guess even Shinigami can have a height complex.

Although Isane didn’t escape to an alternative world, but rather just ate porridge. Lots and lots of porridge.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t help much. As she still ended up growing to 187 cm ( 6’1”) tall.

When she is not stuffing her face with porridge or having nightmares about fishcakes, Isane acts as a true leader. Being the captain of the fourth division and previous lieutenant under Captain Retsu Unohana, Isane is pretty well established.

She is also very courageous, even ready to throw down with the seemingly unstoppable Sosuke Aizen.

5. Boa Hancock

The one and only pirate empress, snake princess, most beautiful woman in the world-ess: Boa Hancock.

Standing at 191 cm ( 6’3”) with a slender physique, she drastically differs from her sisters.

Being the most beautiful woman in the world, second only to maybe mermaids, she expects everyone to forgive her for her actions because of her beauty.

And well, her expectations are set in reality if we are being honest.

But then comes Luffy, the Saiki Kusuo to her Kokomi Terukashi.

And Luffy makes her fall in love for once. Hey, even the most badass women fall prey to love!

4. Ozen

Anime: Made in Abyss

Besides her white hair, nothing really indicates the fact that Ozen is over 50 years old.

Constantly holding a neutral face with cold eyes, measuring over 2 meters ( 6’5”) and with a pretty apathetic personality, she looks like Ryuk’s younger sister.

But don’t let her appearance completely fool you, as this White Whistle Delver still has a soft spot. Especially when it comes to kids, always choosing to tell even the harshest truths rather than lie to the young ones.

As a taller character, she makes for the perfect reality check and stern guardian.

3. Diane

Anime: Seven Deadly Sins

Now we’re getting into the big leagues, literally.

When shrunken, Diane stands at about 165 ( 5’55’’) which for anime standards is not bad.

But then there is her true size at a staggering 9.15 meters ( 30’0’’). Yikes.

When she’s in that form and equipped with her trusty sacred treasure, I feel like dancing and controlling the earth gets less cute and more terrifying.

She is also a true ally of short-kings as her affection gravitates between Meliodas and King.

If she can love her men short, we sure as hell can like our woman tall. Or giant.

2. Annie Leonhart

Anime: Attack on Titan

If you somehow still do not know why Annie is so far up on this list, sorry about that.

Even in human form Annie is one tough customer, having a very harsh personality molded by her upbringing.

Beyond that, she is physically very fit and excels at hand-to-hand combat. She is no Mikasa or Levi but she is certainly a threat.

Also there is that whole thing of her transforming into a titan and being 14m ( 45’9”) and possessing titan powers.

So you know… if you’re not a titan, in love with a titan, or Levi, don’t mess with her.

Finally, we have our queen.

Breaking the scale at 20.62 m ( 67’7”), we have Mount Lady. The attention loving, gorgeous superhero who may or may not be interested in Kamui’s quirk.

Although usually portrayed as goofy and used to elevate the mood, Mount Lady is still a true hero.

Using her giant size to both attack and defend those in need. She is overall a lovable character, and come on. The woman is the size of three giraffes stacked on top of each other.

When it comes to size in the female anime world, she is second to no one.
