LoL: All Of Yuumi’s Best Skins, Ranked

I’ve always had a weird relationship with Yuumi.

On the one hand, I find her adorable.

And on the other, she makes me want to pull my hair out whenever she finds a comfortable bruiser to sit on.

So let’s try to swing the odds back in her favor and make her look even better than before.

Although she doesn’t have a lot of skins, it can still be tricky to pick from her collection – so here’s my ranking of all of Yuumi’s skins, based on overall appeal, features, and price.

5. Yuubee

Released: March 4th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

Although I’ll never get tired of the pun names that come with most of these bee skins, Yuubee just didn’t do it for me.

First off, I was personally never a fan of the whole “X champion but they’re wearing a costume” gimmick. So things were rocky from the very start.

Plus, I think this skin comes with the weakest selection of chromas for the champion.

But let’s not be Negative Nancies and point to some cool aspects as well.

I absolutely love her Q in this skin, as the way you control it seems perfectly suitable for a little bee friend.

The honey particles are also very distinct and satisfying. So hitting either your Q or your ult feels rewarding.

And lastly, the new backing animation is just very on brand and adorable.

Overall, the skin has some cool and adorable features – but it comes with a few shortcomings in its theme and chroma.

4. Battle Principal Yuumi

Released: May 14th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP

Having a cat be a principal is the most anime thing one could do. So my interest was immediately piqued with Battle Principal Yuumi.

In terms of theme, this skin seems the most loose to me.

It focuses more on just making Yuumi look magical and powerful, than it does peddling a certain aesthetic. And this can either be a good or a bad thing, depending on who you ask.

On the one hand, the skin could easily serve as the base skin – as it plays it pretty cool in terms of new animations and particles.

On the other hand, it can seem slightly bland compared to the other more specialized skins.

All of that being said, I do think this skin has two rather objective upsides.

The first being its wide selection of really cool-looking chromas, and the other being the most cat-like backing animation I have ever seen.

It’s truly just a joy to watch her knock over that final cup.

So this skin might seem a bit bland and might not be for everyone – but I still think it’s really well-made.

3. Heartseeker Yuumi

Released: February 4th, 2020
Price: 1350 RP

Thematically, this skin is quite nice. When the Darius you’re attached to 2v5s the entire enemy team, you can say that he was fueled with love.

Also, both the animations and particles feel clean as hell when you’re rocking this skin.

The Q is hard to see coming, the E is subtle and sweet, and the ult feels really impactful.

I will say that I’m not sure whether your backing animation depicts you going Cupid, or just feeding on someone’s love, but either way you make quite the smug face while doing it. So that’s OK by me.

In terms of the character mode, it doesn’t do anything crazy – but rather sticks to a rather sweet and simple format with plenty of really good chromas to back it up if needed.

Heartseeker Yuumi is a fairly good-looking skin with some crisp animations and a rather suitable theme.

If you dig it, get it.

2. EDG Yuumi

Released: May 12th, 2022
Price: 1350 RP

To be honest, it was a toss-up between EDG and the following skin for the title of number one.

That’s because this is one of those skins that can easily serve as the base design. It’s not all that gimmicky but still improves upon every part of the original design.

First off, the character model is simply adorable. And while there’s only one chroma, it changes the look quite a bit – so it still lands the skin some brownie points.

Speaking of adorable, we have to talk about the backing animation. Man, I’m not sure whether I’ve ever seen something more adorable in this game.

But then to contrast that cuteness, you have your Q and R which sport a dragon motif – thus making you feel a lot more powerful and badass.

And the fact that your heal now has a sound effect of a cheering crowd is just perfect.

You’re already a walking steroid for your team – so why not give their confidence a boost as well?

Overall, there’s nothing that I dislike about this skin. It’s honestly quite amazing. It only lost out to the following pick by the slimmest of margins.

1. Bewitching Yuumi

Released: October 7th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP

This skin just nearly won the crown – and it’s due to just how creative it truly is.

The character model for Bewitching Yuumi is really fun and unique, bringing you that spooky energy all year round.

One might think that a Halloween skin is a bad choice in League, as you’ll surely grow tired of little pumpkin-head over here…

But that’s when you get hit with the chromas.

Beyond just changing your colors around, this skin has chromas that make you feel like you got a brand new design in the bag – with Satan Ruby, Ice Witch Aquamarine and Cupcake Rose Quartz and so on.

Plus, this skin has a really fun backing animation, and an appropriately spooky E sound effect that always puts a smile on my face.

The Q and R are equally as clean and distinct, with bat particles going everyone, and the splash art is by far my favorite for the champ.
