TM046 Thief in Pokémon Radical Red

Starting from the Pewter City Pokémon Center, you want to head south.
Eventually you’ll cross through a clearing to enter Route 2.
Continue heading South and you’ll eventually come across the connector leading to Viridian Forest. Instead of entering the connector, look to the right of the screen. You’ll see a gap in a wooden fence.
Go through the gap and enter the small Diglett’s Cave. It’s the only place you can go without having to use an HM.
Now, you just have to head North.
There won’t be anywhere else to go in this part of the cave, so don’t worry about going the wrong way.
You’ll shortly come across a room with a dead end. The TM for Thief will be at the top-right corner of the room.
