TM086 Grass Knot | |
---|---|
Location | From the Celadon City Gym as a reward after defeating Erika in a rematch. |
Description | Grass snares and trips the foe. It does more damage to heavy foes. |
Type | Grass |
After defeating Giovanni at Silph Co. you’ll be notified that some Gym Leaders want a rematch with you. You’ll learn this as you try to enter the Saffron City Gym.

When you go to rematch Erika, however, she’ll tell you that her Gloom is sick and needs medicine.

To get Gloom’s medicine, you want to go to the Fuchsia City Pokémon Center, jump down from the ledge to your right, and then start going up.

As you’re walking up, you’ll see a small tree in between two fences. Use Cut on it to get rid of it.

Go through the newly created gap and then start following the path West.

Walk past the Poké Mart, go up, and then turn right to go to the path behind the Mart.
Next to the bug-catcher who gives you the TM for Substitute, will be a nurse. Speaking with her will give you the medicine for Erika’s Gloom.

Now you want to take that medicine to Erika back in Celadon.
After that she’ll ask you for a rematch, and defeating Erika in this battle will reward you with the TM for Grass Knot.
