Bicolor Gemstone Farming in FFXIV (Best FATEs)

Bicolor gemstones are farmed by completing FATEs in certain zones. This is part of the Shared FATE system that was introduced in the Shadowbringers expansion and continued in Endwalker.

The following is a list of zones that participate in shared FATEs:

Shadowbringers

• Lakeland
• Amh Araeng
• Il Mheg
• Kholusia
• The Rak’tika Greatwood
• The Tempest

Endwalker

• Labyrinthos
• Thavnair
• Garlemald
• Mare Lamentorum
• Elpis
• Ultima Thule

While completing any FATE in these zones will reward you with 12 bicolor gemstones, some are easier to complete than others.

FATEs that level sync you down to the relative expansions level cap will take less time to complete since you’ll be killing mobs faster – level 80 for Shadowbringers and level 90 for Endwalker.

Best FATEs To Farm

Though we may rarely have any sort of control over which FATEs show up in a zone, there are a few things you can keep in mind to speed up the bicolor gemstone farming process.

Take note that lower level FATEs also spawn lower level mobs.

So while all these FATEs are faster to complete than most, the level 76 or 86 FATEs would be the fastest.

Also try to join FATE farming parties if you come across any, and don’t forget to have your Chocobo companion join you.

Spending Bicolor Gemstones

Gemstones earned from participating in Shared FATEs can be spent on numerous items ranging from crafting materials to minions to Chocobo bardings.

There are several different NPC vendors that sell wares in exchange for bicolor gemstones, and the items available to you depend on your Shared FATE rank in the corresponding area.
