The world might be coming to an end sooner than we know, but it’s never too late to care for fashion.

If you want your New Vegas characters to rock some kickass hairstyles then I really suggest you take a look at these fantastic mods.

I’ve included a couple of different hair mods that don’t directly influence head hair, but they should still make your character look much snazzier.

And if you’re into cosmetic mods then I’m pleased to tell you that you’ve come to the right place.

These additions are really easy to install and they don’t take up much GPU to add into your gameplay. Have a quick peek and see if anything hairy grabs your attention.

10. More Beards and Moustache Styles

More Beards Mustaches Fallout New Vegas

Looking to truly customize your male characters to the fullest?

Then you really need to check this mod out. The original New Vegas game doesn’t come with nearly as many styles of bears and mustaches as it should, which makes customization an extremely limited (and often frustrating) process.

However with this mod you’ll be able to select one of many fantastic styles of facial hair that will improve your character customization like crazy.

It doesn’t matter if you want to look like Abe Lincoln or as an entirely unique character – this is the mod for you.

9. Male Hair Pack

Most of the hair mods that I’ve come across are usually just taken from other games and adapted to work in the ones I play.

Sims is the main source of hairstyles that I’ve seen out there.

And while some fit the games that I play, others look just terrible and forced.

The Male Hair Pack mod is made using unique models, all of which were made by the creator of the mod himself, who did them in Blender.

I really love the fact that I get to try out unique hairstyles in my characters, and that they aren’t just copy and pasted from other games.

The uniqueness alone makes this pack worth it, but the quality of the design is even better.

8. Asharas Hair Conversion

Remember when I said I hated mods that took assets from other games and put them into another one?

Well let’s put that aside for a minute and check out the Asharas Hair Conversion mod.

I’m honestly happy with this mod because it converts the hair assets directly from Fallout 3, so they do fit the game perfectly and don’t feel forced at all.

7. Nova Hairstyle

Alright fine. I don’t dislike conversions that much.

The Nova Hairstyle doesn’t fit Fallout: New Vegas at all. But hey, the mod is very well made (the import does change the texture of the hair, so it doesn’t look too bad at all).

I’m adding this mod to my list because I absolutely loved Nova in Heroes of the Storm back in the days before the game bombed and became garbage abandoned by Blizzard.

6. Vanilla Hair – No Shine

No Shine Hair Mod

A simple mod that does the one task it needed to be done in the game: it fixes the annoying shiny hair that was present in every single vanilla hair that the game comes with.

Gone are the days of hair being unreasonably shiny after you install this mod.

It’s nothing out of the ordinary and rather simplistic, but the changes are instantly noticeable if you’ve been playing New Vegas for a while.

This mod looks super cool if you have some graphic enhancers installed as well. Especially since it makes the hair look more realistic in the environment with better shadows and lighting.

5. Nouks and Apachis Hairstyles

Aha, more hairstyles!

This mod adds a whole lot of additional styles to the game, most of which are meant to be used by female character.

But all of them look quite good in general.

Some of these styles look a bit too realistic for the game (as in, they kind of feel like they’re too enhanced for the faces of New Vegas) but hey I won’t complain about it. They really look good.

4. Beauty Pack Plus

Holy hell, this one adds a bunch of new things to the game.

Over 150 female hairstyles come in this massive pack of items, plus over 70 styles for males.

Talk about a complete collection.

I know this list is mainly focusing on hairstyle changes, but dude… this one also includes new eyes and textures that enhance the look of every single character in the game.

If you think that you could make a cool character with the right tools, then it’s time to prove it.

Here are the right tools – now create a fantastic character and go play some New Vegas!

3. DK Female Face Texture Plus Custom Hair

In order to make this mod work you’ll need to download the DK Female textures mod first.

If you have it installed then you’ve probably come to realize that the mod doesn’t support many new hairstyles for the character.

This mod adds plenty of new styles that suit the character and can be used while customizing her.

Do justice to the way the DK Female Face looks by adding hairstyles that truly suit her.

2. Mojave Delight – Cool Hair Replacer

If you have Mojave Delight installed (a bit NSFW, fair warning) then I really suggest you install this mod as well.

It will allow all hairstyles to look much more natural, enhancing the look of all female types of hair in the game.

The mod adds a bit more brightness to the hairs and makes them shine a tad more.

1. Cazy Hair Resource

All of the hair features included in this mod were originally created to be used by a Sims modder.

But they were turned into Fallout textures and converted into files that could be read by the game. How cool is that?

Surprisingly enough, all of these hairstyles suit New Vegas perfectly. Not something I would’ve thought but it absolutely gives credence to this mod if you want some of the more realistic styles in your gameplay.
