The Weatherproof Gaelicat Minion is obtained exclusively from the Kupo of Fortune mini game. The Kupo of Fortune was added in Patch 5.21 as part of the Ishgardian Restoration, inside the Firmament of Foundation.

It’s sort of a scratch-off, which you can play any time you have one Kupo Voucher. The Kupo Vouchers are rewarded every time you turn in a Collectible to Potkin (Foundation – The Firmament, X:12 Y:14).

You’ll need to do five turn-ins, as each reward you with a stamp towards your Voucher. Only certain Crafts are eligible for Stamps.

You’ll need to be at least Level 80 to reliably make the Collectibles required for the turn-ins.

You’ll first and foremost need access to The Firmament, which is locked behind a short Quest. Simply head to Foundation and look for the Recruitment Notice (Foundation, X:10 Y:11) to grab “Towards the Firmament”. You’ll immediately be directed there to speak with Augebert.

The Collectibles required aren’t your usual fare for the Ishgardian Restoration.

They have their own Category in your Crafting Log, under the Special Recipes tab.

Specifically, you’ll be making things under the Restoration (4) subcategory. Previous crafts are no longer eligible for turn-ins.

Two specific recipes will allow you to earn a Stamp and Skybuilders’ Scrips. Both of these are Level 80, with one being an Expert Craft.

Expert Crafts are high in difficulty and have their own special Conditions while crafting. For that reason, it’s recommended you focus on the regular Level 80 recipe. It makes getting Stamps easier, and you’ll need a lot of them to get your Weatherproof Gaelicat.

All Materials for the Skybuilder Crafts are unique, in that they can only be gathered from the Diadem zone. Diadem being only accessible from the Firmament, and designed for Gatherers.

The example above shows that you’ll need a minimum of 500 Collectability for each item in order to earn rewards. Choosing the Level 80 Crafts, you can use the Action “Trained Eye” to immediately maximize it.

This is due to Level Cap now being 90, the Action increases Quality by 100% on the first step. A very handy trick to get a ton of Stamps fast.

If you’ve not leveled your crafters, the good news is that even the lower level Crafts give a ton of experience. So even if you’re not earning Stamps or Scrips, you’ll be well on your way.

Also you can get by with just the minimum Collectability and still earn rewards.

But if it’s one button for more stuff I say go for it.

You can hold up to ten Kupo Vouchers at a time. From Potwatch just take a step to the right and begin gambling!
