Energy Drinks are among the few consumable items in the game that’ll give you a drop rate-boosting buff upon consumption.

These drinks have three main uses:

  • Farming Gold
  • Farming EXP
  • Farming Prizes

As for where you can get Energy Drinks, here’s a list of all the sources where you can find and collect them:

  • Dailies (Best Source)
  • Basic Shop
  • Check-in Pass Bonuses
  • Events

What Are Energy Drinks For?

Once consumed, an Energy Drink will give you a buff that increases the amount of Gold, EXP, and Prizes you get by 700% for 30 minutes — allowing you to farm much more effectively.

Unlike Aromas of Focus, Energy Drinks can be used before or while farming monsters in both the World Map and Chaos Fields.

However, you should remember to only use Energy Drinks if you intend to farm a monster mob within three levels of you if you want maximum returns.

Farming Gold with Energy Drinks

Gold is one of the most important resources that you can farm more of once you’ve consumed an Energy Drink.

Although before you chug some Energy Drinks to farm more Gold, I would first recommend finding mobs within three levels of you that drop the following items:

  • Silver Coins
  • Gold Coins
  • Platinum Coins
  • Higgledy Statues

You can sell these items for more gold which just makes the grind much easier!

To know which monsters in the world map drop these items, simply head over to the Monsters page located in your minimap and cycle through the monsters currently available in your zone.

Farming EXP with Energy Drinks

Your EXP gain will also be significantly boosted if you take Energy Drinks before or during a farming session.

Where you farm EXP from doesn’t matter as long as you follow the “within three levels” rule I’ve mentioned before. Though generally, the higher the mob’s level you farm, the higher the EXP you get.

But before you go killing high-level mobs for more EXP, you should also consider how much time they take to clear, as this will drastically affect the amount of EXP you get per farming session.

Farming Prizes with Energy Drinks

You also get an increased drop rate for Prizes if you consume an Energy Drink.

These include the following materials and items:

  • Armor & Weapon Crystals
  • Armor & Weapon Crafting Tickets
  • Armors, Weapons, and Accessories
  • Food
  • Varnishes
  • Skill Books
  • Skill Pages
  • Chests
  • Gems
  • Torn Swift Solutions

All in all, you get more regular item drops and even rare item drops if you consume Energy Drinks before farming.

This is exactly why you should use Energy Drinks wisely and farm them whenever you can.

Where Can You Get Energy Drinks?

Energy Drinks are quite rare, but farming the sources below will help you get more over time.

Source #1: Dailies (Recommended)

Dailies (3rd Reward) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds
Dailies (3rd Reward)

If you do your Dailies, you can farm one Energy Drink per day alongside 50 Territe as the third Reward on the list.

This requires 60 Daily Points to reach, which won’t be hard at all even if you’re a very casual player.

Make sure to log in and get your Energy Drinks from your Dailies every day, as this is by far the most consistent way of farming Energy Drinks.

Source #2: Basic Shop (Potions & Consumables)

Basic Shop (Purchase Energy Drink x1) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds

The second source we have for Energy Drinks is the Potions & Consumables tab located in the Basic Shop.

Here, Energy Drinks are sold for 50 Diamonds. The only problem is that the cost increases every time you buy one, which really isn’t good news if you’re a F2P player.

For this reason, I recommend buying only one Energy Drink per day. Spending anything more than 50 Diamonds on them simply isn’t worth it.

Source #3: Check-In Pass Bonuses

Check-In Pass / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds

A Check-In Pass will give you a total of three Energy Drinks within two weeks of logging in — along with the other useful rewards you get from it.

This is why you should never pass up on buying the Check-In Pass.

How much is a Check-In Pass, you ask? Well, you can actually buy them for the very low price of only 10 Gold. Now that’s a steal!

Source #4: Events

Episode Guide Event (Tier 1 Rewards List) / Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds
Episode Guide Event (Tier 1 Rewards List)

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds frequently runs Events that shower us with all kinds of free stuff — including precious buff-granting consumable items like Energy Drinks.

The rewards that you can earn from Events may vary, but the good news is that Energy Drinks are actually a fairly common reward in Events.

All you need to do is fulfill the reward requirements stated on the Events page and the rewards will be yours for the taking.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that every Event is time-limited. Make sure to farm as many rewards as you can before each Event’s deadline.
