Stardew Valley Spring Onions: Where To Get & Common Uses

Spring Onions can be found in Cindersap Forest, on the same island where the sewers’ entrance is located.

They can only be naturally found by foraging during the spring. You might also find them on occasion in the Traveling Cart for 100-1000g, in case you need them during other seasons.

Here are the most common uses for Spring Onions:

• Restoring energy and health
• Selling for some extra money early game
• Gifting them to villagers
• Using them to complete the remixed Spring Foraging Bundle
• Tailoring a Spring Shirt

Where To Get Spring Onions

Contrary to other forage items in the game, Spring Onions can only be found in Cindersap Forest, specifically in the southeast region close to the sewers entrance.

Whether you arrive from the farm side or through Pelican Town at the eastern entrance, just move south until you find the small wooden bridges leading to the island marked in the map below.

Since Spring Onions only spawn on this island, you won’t stumble upon them during any other region of Stardew Valley – so be sure to come to this area to get them!

Once you arrive on this island, you shouldn’t have much trouble finding a few (or a lot) of Spring Onions.

As you might have guessed by their name, Spring Onions can only be naturally found during the spring.

But if you’re ever in need of a few Spring Onions during other seasons, be sure to check the Travelling Cart regularly, as you might be able to find them there for 100g-1000g.

Uses for Spring Onions

Selling or Consuming?

Even though Spring Onions aren’t super lucrative compared to other forage items, they can still help you make some extra money early in the game.

Alternatively, you can always decide to use them as a way to restore some energy and health.

Gifting

Out of all the villagers, only Harvey, Leah, and Linus will like to receive Spring Onions as a gift (and none of them will love them).

They’re still a great way to give you a social boost for a very cheap and accessible item!

Bundles

Spring Onions are one of the options available to complete the remixed Spring Foraging Bundle in the Crafts Room at the Community Center.

Tailoring

Later on in the game, you can also tailor an awesome Spring Shirt by combining a piece of Cloth with a Spring Onion at the sewing machine.
